Mi experiencia en el hostel del hostel fue hermosa! Incluso aunque al principio tuvimos que hacer tareas que no eran las acordadas porque no había huéspedes, fue un placer para mi haber ayudado 😊 Se armó un grupo super lindo de voluntarios, cocinábamos, íbamos a la playa, paseábamos. gracias el hostel y graziella por haberme recibido! Me encantó Sicilia

Recomiendo el hostal encarecidamente para ir como huésped. Sin embargo, yo no me sentí comoda trabajando ahí. Los jefes no se preocupan absolutamente nada por ti(te alojan en el peor cuarto,no tienes ni espacio para poner tu ropa y son muy bordes y maleducados a la hora de decirte las cosas, se nota mucho que únicamente les importa el dinero y no tu bienestar). Tienen cámaras en todos los sitios del hostal excepto en las habitaciones por lo que no tienes ninguna privacidad, las cuales controlan en todo momento. Se notaba mucho la diferencia de trato si eras un voluntario chico o chica.

I always make sure to provide volunteers everything they need in order to make the volunteering experience pleasant and useful for both parts and, actually, I think I did that with you as well.
You were hosted, with only another volunteer, in a four bed dorm which had a bathroom, a fan and also a wardrobe where you could put your clothes. If you thought that you did not have enough space where to put them you could've just told me about this problem and I would've tried my best to solve it. For the cameras, I honestly don't get your complaint. I've installed them to create a 24 hours security environment in the hostel, so that both the guests and the volunteers can feel safe. Moreover, I think that I have the right to use them in order to check that everything works at the hostel, since I can't stay there 24/7. I absolutely don't make any difference between female and male volunteers: when a volunteer sells an excursion, the agency I work with gives me the possibility of a free tour and I think it's fair to give this possibility to the volunteer who has sold the excursion. I gave the possibility to the other volunteer (a guy) because he had sold many excursions while you didn't sell any.
Anyways, I hope your next experience will be more pleasant.

My stay at the hostel was absolutely wonderful and I would highly recommend it to anyone, especially if they like meeting locals. The location is very convenient and the working hours are fine. the hostel, the owner, is a very respectful and js always down for chatting. I would recommend this especially for people who are down for learning the local customs and immerse in the Sicilian lifestyle. On top of everything, I managed to make a couple of friends in Giardini, which is a lovely town. I would definitely come back.

Staying at the hostel for my first world packers experience was the best choice I could've made. The shifts were easy and he even helped me be able to take a trip to Palermo for a night to explore! Getting to volunteer here truly gave me an experience that I will never forget. Even when working, we were all hanging out in the common area or having dinner together. The atmosphere that is created here makes it so easy to make/become friends with everyone. Thank you for everything the hostel.

I couldn't recommend the hostel more. I had an incredible time here. The location of the hostel is so convenient and there is plenty to do in and around the city. the the hostel is super clean and inviting. The kitchen has the essentials and a welcoming environment. The work itself is as advertised, for me it included checking in / out guests and other reception tasks. The work was easy in nature and if you follow the hostel's instructions it is easy to complete tasks. I didn't learn much Italian while I was here but if you wanted to there is plenty of opportunity to learn it here.

I had a great stay at the hostel. I was warmly welcomed from the beginning, and both the hostel and Graziella truly value your effort and the work you do. Even during high season, everything went smoothly, with little to no complications during my stay. Being so close to Taormina and the beach also makes it easy to enjoy other activities, even on the days when you have to work. Thank you the hostel, I will remember this summer!

My experience at the hostel was wonderful! The volunteer team was also very nice. The cleaning tasks were easy to learn, except that I was assigned to work in August during peak season. But we only had one tough week; after that, everything was incredible. the hostel and Graziella were very attentive and kind to me, and I even celebrated my birthday at the hostel! Thank you!!!

I had the most incredible time volunteering at the hostel! From the moment I arrived, the hostel and Graziella made me feel so welcomed—it truly felt like a home away from home! The work is very manageable, and the schedule is super fair, giving you plenty of time to explore the area. Giardini Naxos is a beautiful beach town and you're just a short bus ride away from Taormina. Overall, I'd definitely recommend the hostel to anyone looking for a relaxed, social volunteer experience in a beautiful part of Sicily!

My stay at the hostel was great! the hostel and Graziella were so welcoming, and they taught me italian and lots about sicilian culture. The work is pretty easy, and you meet so many nice travelers every day. I also got to travel to other parts of Sicily, like Palermo and Noto. I highly recommend you to go here!
