O hostel é um lugar encantador, além de ter uma localização incrível, o espaço é aconchegante e todo o staff me recebeu de coração aberto, me fez sentir em casa e me acolheu como parte da família. Fiz muitas amizades com os hóspedes também! As horas de trabalho foram super respeitadas, fiquei na parte do café da manhã e foi muito tranquilo. Recomendo essa experiência para todo mundo!! <3

Loreen is an amazing person, always attentive and kind. The hostel staff is also very friendly and helps us whenever needed. The work is super easygoing and the schedules are respected. the hostel is one of the best hostels I've ever stayed in. The terrace is spacious and helps connect with other travelers, and there's a coworking space for digital nomads. The hostel's location is wonderful as it's situated in the city center. I hope to come back soon 😁

Minha experiência no Merced88 e em Santiago de modo geral reacendeu meu desejo de continuar viajando quando eu me encontrava em um momento difícil da viagem! Fui voluntário no bar do hostel e gostei muito. Lá atendia aos hóspedes, preparava drinks e intermediava interações entre tds, seja por meio de jogos ou conversas. Nessa função, tive oportunidade de cumprir alguns objetivos pessoais como viajante: aprender coisas novas e me conectar com gente do mundo todo. Com certeza nesse mês vivi alguns dos highlights da minha viagem. Obrigado por tudo o hostel e um abraço especial a Mila, Mel e Glo ♥️

Foi uma experiência INCRÍVEL. Amei cada momento que passei aqui. De verdade, foi uma das melhores experiências da minha vida. Lembrarei com muito carinho de todas as pessoas que conheci aqui. O hostel é maravilhoso, a localização é excelente. Pra quem é nômade digital também é excelente. Eu consegui conciliar o voluntariado no hostel com o meu trabalho. Sou muito GRATA a Loreen e a cada um que faz parte do hostel. Eu vou sentir muita falta destes dias. Muito obrigada por tudo!!

Minha experiência foi incrível! O hostel fica bem localizado, com um ambiente multicultural, café da manhã ótimo, tive a oportunidade de praticar o inglês e espanhol, além de descobrir novas habilidades pessoais. A anfitriã Loreen foi gentil e flexível comigo! Eu destacaria apenas a falha na comunicação que, na minha opinião, ocorreu quando pequenas reformas foram feitas em nosso quarto sem uma comunicação adequada, o que gerou desconforto nos voluntários. Mas sem dúvidas as reformas vieram para mais conforto! No geral foi uma experiência foi muito positiva e eu recomendaria!

I had a great time at the hostel. Loreen is very welcoming and friendly. We agreed the scheduled days and days off. The hours are reasonable, so I had plenty of time to explore Santiago. The hostel is very clean, which made the work more pleasant. I enjoyed working with reception and meeting the other volunteers! Overall I had a 10/10 time, thank you for having me ♥️

The hostel was always very clean and enjoyable, most of the staff were friendly, Orianna was also very receptive and kind. The work was pretty straightforward, defined work hours, although I'd stay a little more than my time to finish what I had to do because the work was demanding, as said in the description. Keep in mind that you might be placed to work in one of the other two hotels they have instead of the hostel, and I worked for BHB which is half a square away. The bed was comfortable, but the room only had a small window which didn't get much of natural light. Great experience to learn!

The hostel is well located and maintained, and the work is organised. I helped with cleaning & housekeeping from 6pm-11pm, 5 days a week. The tasks might seem overwhelming at the start but soon you'll find a rhythm! Catalina was incredibly helpful as well and made the work enjoyable ❤️ The reason for 4 stars is that I was expecting more collaboration or social activities between volunteers but that didn't exist: your shift is your shift alone. There was also an initial hiccup with the allocated room but a big thank you to Loreen for instantly accommodating my request.

Hola Rati, muchas gracias por tu comentario. Lamentamos que no hayas podido compartir como esperabas con los otros voluntarios. Normalmente siempre comparten la misma habitación pero como pediste el cambio a otra habitación es normal que no compartas tanto. Ten en cuenta que los voluntarios cambian cada mes y pueden haber chicos mas sociables o chicos mas tranquilos.

Loreen and all the staff at the hostel made me feel incredibly welcomed. The communal living spaces allows you to make many connections with other international travelers. Loreen is very accommodating with time off so I was able to explore places outside of Santiago. I would definitely recommend this place to others looking to volunteer at a hostel in Santiago!
