The hostel is the literally the best hostel ever. You will fall in love with the place, so big, fully equipped with everything you may need and with an amazing view. Working here taught me so much about myself and people as well, since you'll be touch with many volunteers, guests and souls from all around the world! The work is super fair compared to what you get back and you can express yourself organising activities, dinners and sharing with people what you like to do. You will have the possibility to leave a mark on the island but mostly in your heart! Super recommended🔥❤️

I had my first volunteering experience at the hostel and I would go back there again! Above all, the guest and the other volunteers made my time there unforgettable. I spent a lot of time only at the hostel because the place is a bit far from the nearest town. But the various hostel activities made it really fun, so I didn't really miss anything! Work was a bit hard at times but always manageable.

My experience at the hostel was spectacular! I can say it was the most beautiful place I've ever been! The group of volunteers is large and the shifts are well managed, the place is magnificent and it is not heavy at all! I recommend it especially to those who do it for the first time, I hope to come back soon! love you guys 🩷

This was my best volunteering experience so far! I volunteered at the treehouse for nearly 4 weeks and had the best time! The treehouse feels like an oasis in the desert. A lively place with good vibes. The greatest thing about the hostel is the fact that most people who come stay for longer than just a few days, which makes for the opportunity to build amazing friendships. At the treehouse, there's a warm community and freedom to be your crazy self. There are always activities like yoga, hiking, surfing, bar nights and much more! I highly recommend volunteering at the treehouse!

The hostel was an amazing place to do my first volunteering experience while traveling!! The 25 hours of work per week are fully respected and the work environment is mainly collaborative, all the volunteers helped me in the first shifts teaching me every task that needs to be done. Every tuesday, the hostel provides a box of free vegetables and fruits. Thanks a lot for this amazing experience ❤️

I recently volunteered at this hostel and saw its great potential but several areas need improvement. The location is beautiful, but it's hard to reach without a car making exploring challenging. My main concern is the lack of on-site staff. Only the owners and a maintenance team are present leaving volunteers to handle most responsibilities primarily cleaning which often feels like unpaid labor. Communication from management can be passive-aggressive and more organization is needed. However the volunteers were amazing. This could be a fantastic experience with actual staff and better support.

Não é uma experiência colaborativa, mas sim utilizar o voluntariado para não empregar uma equipa de limpeza. As limpezas de todo o espaço são única e exclusiva responsabilidade dos voluntários o espaço é enorme. Não há respeito, consideração ou empatia pelo voluntario, a comunicação quando existe é passiva agressiva. Há falta de organização e estrutura o hostel fica praticamente a cargo exclusivo da equipa de voluntários. A melhor parte da experiência foram voluntários que conheci e com quem partilhei a experiência! O hostel tem enorme potencial e os voluntários também é importante valorizar

Unfortunately sometimes you get people applying for volunteering excepting to have a free holiday. This was helenas case
We had to shorten her stay as she wouldn't even show up to do her tasks.

They have no idea what volunteering is about: they'll explore u and wont give a single f**k about your experience as a traveler or your dignity as a person Volunteers are the cleaning staff, expect a heavy work as if u were a paid employee. U'll be under fear&stress, more then once i felt disrespected Activities r an extra responsibility: u have to invest your own money and work extra hours the hostel is isolated so u cant explore around w/a car (no extra transfers for volunteers ofc) In return u get a filthy dorm+30€ worth of food that should feed 10ppl for 7days (0,43€ p/day p/p..wtf?

Thank you for your comment Bruna. We are sorry to hear you didn't appreciate your time here with us. Normally our volunteers have amazing experiences here, as you can read in the rest of reviews. The conditions and tasks to be done are very clear, and also confirmed in the previous video call we do with every volunteer. The location is also very easy see in our profile. We absolutely love being away from the city center but still only 10 minutes walk from the beach, it key to build that community feeling we have here. The last small thing is that the fruit and veg we buy for the volunteers is not mention in the exchange, we just buy it every week for you to have fresh food and support the local farmers

I had a good experience volunteering at the hostel. It was alot of work but it was fine together with the other volunteers. Facilities were good and great with free shuttels to the nearest town. Thanks to Cristina for being such a great manager and all other volunteers! :)

Tive uma boa experiência no hostel, adorei compartilhar com outros voluntários a mesma experiência. As tarefas são simples e a escala de trabalho bem flexível. As gerentes Bianca e Cristina são extremamente humanas e a comunicação fluiu naturalmente. Os hóspedes são amáveis e foi muito positivo conhecer a ilha e lugares locais.
