Working at the hostel with Maximo was a great first Worldpackers experience :) the tasks set were fair and doable and he respected the hours agreed to work. Every day he brings a different lunch to try which is great ! His English is great and he really wants the experience to be mutually beneficial for both parties. It was great to meet people staying at the hostel and working with other volunteers, and I would recommend Maximo's opportunity to others

It's easy to tell that Maximo truly cares about the volunteers who come and stay at his hostel. He provides everything agreed upon in the profile, and the work is quite simple and doable. The Hostel is in a great location, very near lots of shops and not far at all from the main Plaza of Arequipa. For breakfast and dinner there is food in the kitchen that you can help yourself to, and for lunch Maximo goes out and brings back a new dish everyday. A great way to try the local foods, all the lunches I had were delicious!!

Max is one of the best hosts I've ever had in WorldPackers. He made great efforts to make me feel at home, really cared about introducing me to the local cuisine and ensured I enjoyed everything Arequipa had to offer. He's a great communicator, tasks are easy and expectations are always set and met. I can't recommend it enough ☺️

I had a lovely time in Arequipa! I really enjoyed spending time with the other volunteers with me. I would definitely recommend having a solid foundation in Spanish, and it really was a good learning experience as well. Maximo is very accommodating and willing to help if you ask. I met so many great people!!

I enjoyed volunteering at the hostel! Max is a very kind and helpful host. During my stay I helped with the laundry and a little bit with the reception. Max showed me around in Arequipa to try delicious food and to visit some viewpoints. I definitely recommend volunteering if you want to practice your Spanish.

A experiência no hostel foi muito boa!! Trabalhei mais na parte da lavanderia e, algumas poucas vezes, com a limpeza dos quartos. Max sempre foi muito solicito e preocupado com meu bem estar. Além disso, também me ajudou com alguns problemas que tive com uma outra empresa. Os horários combinados são respeitados, o almoço atrasa de vez em quando, mas sempre é gostoso. Tive que estender minha estadia lá e foi super tranquilo também!

The job on here says you'll be cooking but the job is helping with laundry service. Its easy and work hours are respected. He provides you with food but if you want to eat proper meals, send him a list of foods you want or you'll be provided with mostly grains to eat. Maximo is kind and showed me around the city and helped me with whatever I needed. It was a good experience for me to practice my spanish.

Fiquei pouquinho tempo no hostel, apenas uma semana, mas foi uma experiência ótima. O trabalho é bem tranquilo (no geral trabalhei na lavanderia que funciona junto ao hostel) e o anfitrião, Max, está sempre disposto a ajudar. o hostel é bem localizada e dá para ir andando até a Plaza de Armas e até a maioria dos museus de Arequipa :)

I had a very good time at the hostel. Maximo is an amazing person, who truly cares about you and that your experience is as good as possible. I really appreciate Max showing me around town and having me try all the local cuisine. The tasks were simple and easy hours. I did wish there would be more people to socialise with; the hostel is quiet and if you don't know people in town it's not so easy to meet fellow travelers. However, I'm very happy with my experience! Muchas gracias Max por todo!!

Foi uma experiência muito boa, apesar de ter me aplicado para a vaga de limpieza, fiquei fazendo mais a parte de marketing, o que foi bem positivo para mim, as únicas reclamações são que a escada que temos que subir para estender as roupas da lavanderia não é nem um pouco segura, e a segunda é que o Massimo apesar de ser uma pessoa excelente é super ocupado e as vezes acaba faltando um pouco de comunicação por não ter muito tempo, mas foi muito bom meus dias no hostel
