It was my second experience as a volunteer and it was great! The work is easy and there is an international, collaborative and friendly team. I had the possibility to speak the languages that I know with both guests and colleagues, but also enough time to visit all the attractions that Edinburgh offers! If u are planning your next volunteering experience in Scotland, the hostel is the right place where to go!

My experience at the hostel was amazing! It is a place with a very good vibe, the whole team is very nice and fun, they did a lot of fun activities to include everyone. Adam is very kind, flexible and understandable with shifts, he always wants everyone to feel comfortable. The tasks are simple and almost always finished before the hour. I would definitely go back to the hostel! Thanks for everything ❤️

The hostel was a wonderful experience, I loved being a part of the team. Everyone was kind, the work was easy and clearly outlined. The long term staff and volunteers have worked hard to make the hostel a great place to live and volunteer, if you want a great stay in a very cool city this is the place for you!

The hostel is in the perfect location to explore Edinburgh, and you'll meet so many amazing volunteers! The experience is what you make it, and you can trust Stephanie to do what she can to help you have a great time. I would recommend asking for pictures of the volunteer room if you're interested in applying!

Overall I had a good experience at the hostel! The hours were consistent with what was agreed on before arrival and the other volunteers were all very friendly! In my opinion, the volunteers' room was too small for 8 people but I felt very comfortable around the other volunteers so it wasn't a problem.

I had my first time volunteering at the hostel and had a fun and adventurous time. It is located great to explore all of Edinburgh. The work hours were fair with plenty of time to spend the rest of the day outside. What I enjoyed the most were definitely the friendships I made with the other volunteers. I extended my stay and enjoyed the city a few days longer. However, there were some disputes within the management, which also extended to the volunteer team and created an uncomfortable atmosphere. Hopefully next time such an incident can be solved more peacefully. I still enjoyed my time! :)

I had a good experience overall, I made great friendships with the other employees and volunteers here, and the city is a beautiful and fun place to be in! My only complaints is that the hostel is not extremely clean, nor is it a nice and cozy place to live, plus the volunteers room was very small for 8 people to live in. I would still recommend this experience because the city and people are amazing!

This was my second experience after a very good one. I ended up leaving a week before my original date because I wasn't having a good time. The staff were amazing and the work itself is very simple and fair. The city is wonderful!! The downside was the hostel itself, it isn't a very nice place, and doesn't feel very safe and homey. Also the guests are mostly not travellers and there are many long term guests which really makes the vibe very different to other hostels... There are just places that are much nicer, but if you're looking for a bed in a great city this is a good place to go.

Hello, Kaya. We were surprised by your review. It is the first time in more than 96 travelers that we have received 3 stars. We understand that you didn't adapt and so you left earlier, but it's not fair to everything we've done for you and that we've been understanding of your departure before, even though it harmed the hostels schedule at the time we needed it most and volunteers. About your guest review, maybe you lacked more time for you. Because it is normal in a Hostel in low season to have different profiles. In high season our city receives thousands of tourists and the environment is totally different.
