Help with a dog rescue in Bansko, Bulgaria

The project is such an awesome experience . Sarah, Nick and Chris da wonderful job running the shelter and show dedication and love to not only the project they care for, but also broadly to all the strays in Bansko. In only a few short weeks, I had formed such a strong bond to the project, the hardest part of volunteering there was saying goodbye! The volunteer apartment also felt like a home away from home. We would cook, watch movies, and explore the town all together. Bansko is also a great town to relax, unwind and escape big cities for a while. I would highly recommend to anyone!

The project is unparalleled in their dedication and love clearly shown towards the project they care for. Sarah and the team surrounding her have built up something not wanting in quality for those sweet the project. It has been an absolute pleasure to have been part of that even just for a few weeks; I got to learn so much, also outside the shelter and, of course, spent lots of awesome time with all the tiny pups and grown-up pups :) I highly recommend working with BSD in Bansko to all dog lovers!❤️ Thank you for the great experience!

Hannah takes initiative, asks if unsure, and can be trusted to get on with what is needed (and then some!). It's great when people visit and enjoy caring for the shelter dogs, but some people just seem to 'click' with the whole idea of what we're doing throughout the town, not just in the shelter, and Hannah was definitely one of them.

We're sad to see you go, and very much look forwards to you coming back next year!

I loved my experience working with the project. Sarah does a great job keeping this shelter running as efficiently as possible helping volunteers with any issues that come up. The working shifts are very manageable and leave you with plenty of time to explore the rest of Bansko. You will fall in love with the project here so the only downside in my experience is how much I now miss spending time with them. I would recommend this experience to anybody interested in animal care and being close to nature.

I would recommend this experience to anyone who has a love for the project! The work was easy, Sarah and the team were so welcoming and helpful and the project are just adorable!! Bansko is such a calm little town and perfect for relaxing while also having the choice to go out and explore or hike. I wish I could've stayed longer!

For my first Worldpackers, it was a wonderful volunteering experience that I am very grateful for. The project itself is amazing and I met lots of great people from around the world. Everyone and the project were so lovely. I would love to return one day.

It was my first worldpackers experience and it was great. I learned a lot about the project and I met so many other nice people from all over the world. I would recommend this experience if you like the project and if it's okay for you to be in a more rural area. Thank you Sarah, Nick and Chris :)

Such an amazing experience I'm glad I had. Bansko is the perfect place to a city getaway and to connect with nature. the project are truly amazing. Sarah is a great and super flexible host, she will help you with anything. Bansko Streetdogs was an amazing and fulfilling experience.

It was my first volunteering experience, and it couldn't have been more rewarding. ❤ the project are the sweetest! Getting to know them made me learn so much and grow so much love for them. I've been lucky enough to share the experience with some of the sweetest and most caring people I've met. The volunteers apartment was amazing and felt like a family. We cared for the project, ate, watched movies, laughed and explored together. Will carry these friendships for life. Thank you so much to Sarah and the BSD team for putting so much work and love into this. Would absolutely love to come back! 🐾
