Hemos estado cuatro semanas en este encantador lugar remoto que te permite desconectar, valorar las pequeñas cosas y conectar muchísimo con la naturaleza. He vivido esta experiencia con una buena amiga y no podría haber sido mejor, recordaremos Herand para siempre. Las horas de trabajo se respetan siempre y suelen ser tareas fáciles y variadas, sobre todo las de la tarde (ayuda con el huerto, limpiar apartamentos, recoger malas hierbas, etc) Aburrirse no es una opción! Las cenas con la familia han sido encantadoras y nos han acercado a la cultura local! Alba y yo os animamos a vivirlo!

We had the pleasure of hosting Ona as a Worldpackers volunteer in July, and it was a truly positive experience. She contributed with great energy, took responsibility, and was always helpful, friendly, and full of initiative.
It was both enjoyable and inspiring to have her here – she quickly became a natural part of our team, and working together went smoothly. She approached her tasks with dedication and consistently delivered quality work.

Fue una experiencia increíble. Cristian y Bjorg son personas maravillosas , todos los días ella cocinaba comida deliciosa para nosotras. Es un lugar mágico , donde puedes vivir momentos inolvidables , además ellos te proporcionan kayaks , bicis y muchas cosas más para que disfrutes de tu estancia allí y lo aproveches al máximo. Las horas de trabajo son respetadas y las tareas son o limpiar los apartamentos o ayudar en su granja , son tareas fáciles y ellos te ayudan en absolutamente todo. Yo me divertí mucho y aprendí inglés, es un voluntariado que recomiendo 100%.

I had a wonderful time in Herand. I would highly recommend Christian and Bjørg as very responsible and kind hosts. During my free time, I enjoyed swimming, kayaking, hiking, and cycling to nearby places. I also started knitting, with Bjørg's kind help and encouragement. After the delicious dinners that Bjørg prepared, it was a real pleasure to spend time talking with the hosts and learning new things about Norway.

I really enjoyed my stay. The working hours were very fair and always respected as agreed beforehand. For me, it was a great mix between preparing apartments for new guests and doing some gardening. Herand is a very nice and charming little village. Christian and Bjørg are wonderful hosts – friendly, openminded, and fair. Every evening they prepared a very tasty dinner, which we all enjoyed together. All in all, it was a wonderful experience that I'm really grateful for.

Great experience in Herand, Norway! We spent a few weeks there and the family was incredibly kind and welcoming, just as described. The work was light and enjoyable: mornings doing simple tasks like cleaning, afternoons helping in the garden and with farm work — a fun way to try new things. Herand is breathtaking, with fjords, mountains, waterfalls, and endless hiking trails. We highly recommend this peaceful place with delicious food, lovely hosts, and beautiful moments in nature. Perfect to slow down and connect. Thanks for everything — we'll never forget it, truly magical and special!

Hosting Alba in July was a wonderful experience for us. From the very start she showed great commitment, a positive attitude, and an eagerness to contribute wherever needed. She was proactive, reliable, and always willing to go the extra mile.

I had the best time of my life in herand. The village is the most beautiful thing, with the typical houses, apple gardens, the mountains around making the fjords, the sea... You will fall in love for sure. The hosts are super welcoming and caring. They are always concerned about your needs, and made me feel like part of the family.

Bjorg and Christian where beautiful host to have because I felt like part of the family from the get go. They where very respectful of work hours if being in the greenhouse or the family farm. I was in a little peace of paradise while there from kayaking, paddleboard, hiking, watching the orcas or just laying in the sun breathing in the fresh air. If you just need to slow your life down and take a breath I highly recommend this experience..you won't regret it! Tusen takk!

Had an incredible moment in Herand with Christian and Bjorg and also Victoria who was volunteering at the same time as I did. It was very peaceful and I really loved going on kayak adventures on the fjord. Stunning landscapes and shared moments and stories. I fell in love with Norway. And it felt very safe to be with them on this adventure. They are full of kindness and knowledge, and Bjorg was cooking with love for us everyday. Thank you for everything. Kindly🙏

I loved everything about my experience in Herand! Herand is a very special place with amazing fjord views and nature everywhere you look. The work is interesting and very fair for what you receive in exchange and you can learn a lot about gardening and local life. I loved spending my free time kayaking, hiking, and taking in the scenery. Bjørg and Christian are the kindest hosts and a pleasure to spend time with. They really go out of their way to make sure you feel comfortable in their home. I will miss my time in Herand and can recommend this experience to anyone!

Well, its has been one of the best experiences ive ever had in my life, Christian, Bjorg and them family are amazing people, so kind and helpfull whenever you need. The place its just amazing, landscapes really beautiful, the fiord its so chill with the kayak, mountains around are really cool too! There you live in like a bubble of happiness, not seems real life! I would recommend all the people to go there at least once in the lifetime, so nice to lose such and amazing experience. Work is not too hard, you learn lot of things about farming and local culture. 10/10. Just go there! Thank you ;)
