I spent 2 wonderful weeks in the farm. Thomas, Deepa, and all the others on the farm were more than welcoming and made me feel at home from the moment I stepped into the village and farm. I was surrounded by the nicest bunch of people all throughout my volunteering experience, learned a lot about nature and plants on the farm and around the area, and was able to truly experience and learn about Nepali culture and customs. This experience has been incredibly precious to me, and will always remain dear to my heart. Big thank you to everyone! Sending love, Ruta

Ruta is an experienced volunteer and she slipped very fast and smoothly into our routines.

She would try her hands at any given tasks. Cutting grass, weeding, mulching, feeding plants, sorting coffee, picking and processing hibiscus was some of the work she did.

Ruta is sociable, kind and friendly and we had a unique cultural exchange also learning about Latvian culture.

The last day she gave us a big surprise presenting a super nice video of the farm and life here.

Thank you very much for your wonderful contribution Ruta

Azem is a true gentleman and a breeze to host. He is always ready and well prepared to help in any way.

He approached the given tasks here with eager curiosity and determination. Cutting grass with sickle, weeding, compost management, coffee sorting, event photography, help in the house, was some of the things he did.

He is very friendly, sociable and good at telling stories from his life and homeland and we had an excellent work and cultural exchange.

Thank you very much Azem for your excellent contribution here.

Amazing experience! Great place & neighborhood very safe and beautiful. Everyone is so nice and welcoming. Thomas always sharing his interesting knowledge. Deepa makes delicious food and always makes sure you're okay. Beemal took us hiking it was great. Comfortable and make you feel at home like you're part of the family. Incredible views!! Stayed for a short time because I also wanted to visit other places in Nepal and you were very understanding and encouraged me to discover more things. The work is a bit hard at the beginning but gets easier as you get used to it. Very kind and good people.

Mariam came all the way from Egypt to volunteer with us. She is an extremely kind, gentle and helpful lady. Even she is an experienced traveler, It was her first visit to Asia, and the environment here was all new to her. But she dived into it and tried all the works we had available. Cutting grass, making compost, planting and caring plants, sorting green coffee was some of the task she did. Thank you very much for your kind contribution here Mariam. See you again!

The farm was my first Worldpackers trip and to say it was amazing would be an understatement. Thomas and Deepa were extremely warm and welcoming and as long as you were willng to learn they were willing to teach. We spent our days drinking tea & coffee, practicing nepali, learning about the culutre and were spoiled with a beautiful view of the mountains after a day of hard work. I had so much fun! It truly was a great experience. Would definitely recommend this to anyone (really anyone) who needs a break from hectic city life/ touristy spots &/ is interested in permaculture :D <3

The experience at the farm was really amazing. From day 1 to the last day we felt at home! We learned a lot about permaculture, composting, all the processes that are involved in the planting, care, and harvesting of coffee, and even how to roast and taste the amazing coffee they have on the farm! We were also able to get involved and experience Nepalese mountain life, their festivals, and the opportunity to meet and share with the beautiful local people. We are tremendously happy with the experience and would 100% recommend the experience to anyone!

Valentina and Javier are extremely helpful and kind and very understanding of our challenges. Staying with us 6 weeks we got the opportunity to explore and exchange a lot of things. They are very proactive, observed trees and identified problems with fungi and insects, found solutions by research.
Managed the work of cutting grass with sickle and making compost with energy and curiosity. Putting in much more time than we expect. Helped us setting up our website biloba organic. We did coffee milling, sorting, roasting, experiments and cupping.
A brilliant cultural exchange and mutual learning experience at is best.

Working on the farm was a very rewarding experience. I felt truly immersed in Nepali culture and the hosts were very welcoming and informative! The farm is in a beautiful location and the work was very fulfilling. We learnt how to make Nepali food and tea aswell as practising the language!! I thoroughly enjoyed my experience and would recommend it to anyone who loves permaculture and immersing yourselves with local communities.

It was great to have Alice on the farm. She is a very hard worker and very curios, knowledgeable and intressted in nature. Her many earlier volunteer experiences teached us a lot and her sociable, friendly person made a perfect match on our farm.
We all miss you Alice. See you again!

We really enjoyed our time at the the farm! Our hosts Deepa and Thomas were super nice and really made sure we had a good time during our stay. Deepa made sure our bellies were full with delicious Dal Baht and other snacks. We also got tea and coffee daily. The farm itself is beautiful, surrounded by hills and some other local farms. The work was 5h/day as agreed upon and we got a good break at the hottest part of the day. It was really interesting to see how a coffee farm works and how local people live in these rather remote areas. I can only recommend this experience!

I was not able to stay long due to a family emergency. During the monsoon months the main job to do is pulling out weeds and grass; so if you're looking to learn about planting and cultivation, I would recommend you go in a different season. Dipa and her brother are both very friendly and will make your stay at the farm extremely comfortable.

Thank you for the review. Rebeca stayed with us for 3 days in July. Unfortunately she had to return quickly to her country. During the days she stayed with us we got a very good impression of her. She was friendly, kind, and took on the tasks seemingly with positive eagerness.

P.S about rainy season, June to august a lot of the work is weeding and cutting grass. These months have fast growth and at times we need to work continously to keep up. Volunteers can learn how to use a sickle and how to make the weeds and grass cuttings into compost . Its hard work and we adjust according to volunteers capacity. Compost is fundamental for plant cultivation and for the organic farm. 90% of our supply is started during these months.
There are also many other jobs for volunteers, like greenhouse maintenance, plant care, plant inspection, research.
We do a lot of planting too in the first month of rainy season, in the field and in the greenhouse. We are making a website, and will update with more information about the work during the different seasons of the year. Thomas
