Great experience working on the farm! Super fun connecting with all the other volunteers, and everyone on the dairy farm is lovely and welcoming, very knowledgeable about Sweden and the farm, and eager and happy to share stories. The cow shift is very fun, it was so cool to learn so much about cows and to get into a routine taking care of them, and all of the nature around the farm is absolutely gorgeous.

Olov and his family were very sweet and made sure we had everything we needed. The place is as authethentic an experience it gets in terms of a rural swedish farm life. I got to learn a lot from this experience culturally and about dairy farming. It was also a good place to wind down and relax. Although the work can get intense somedays, you have the flexibility and your hours are respected. Dairy farming might not be everyone's cup of tea but i enjoyed it and taught me a life skill, and a newfound respect for farmers.

I had an amazing time with olle and his farm, I learned a lot of things, I was able to drive a truck for the first time, olle is very flexible and attentive and he took us to different places so we can immerse ourselves in the Swedish culture, I would definitely stay there again

Hej Olov, Åke, Maria, Ingrid, Anders and Jasper, these two weeks spent in Söderala were wonderful thanks to all of you ! Special thanks to Olov of course who let us a lot of freedom, autonomy and flexibility. This meaningfull trust was great 🙂 The house/farm is very peacefull and if you want to have a real immersion into Swedish culture, it's the perfect place, particularly during June ! I learned a lot, about gardening and about myself. When I was here, I met 6 volunteers from all around the world and it led to a lot of interesting talking, thank you all 😁 Thanks for everything, see you☀

My experience in the farm has been incredible. The work was very simple, and I always felt a great sense of freedom to enjoy my free time however I wanted. Olov also helped me get more deeply involved in Swedish culture—something I would have never experienced as a tourist. I'm truly grateful for this amazing experience and I hope to return soon!

Absolute pleasure working with Åke, Maria, Anders, Jasper & Noor -- they really are the glue holding the farm together. I enjoyed all our morning coffee break discussions on global events, local culture & life in general. After getting the hang of everything & settling into a routine, the physical labor became really satisfying. It was also fun to observe all the cows day-to-day, interact with them hands-on & learn some of their personality quirks. A few became my favorites. Olle is a fun host with many different hobbies & interests, so there's much to explore. Memorable experience all around

Overall the experience was amazing! Beautiful lakes, friendly people, well provided food and time well spent. We rested and enjoyed each day in different ways connecting it with our job. Our duties included various tasks, not too difficult and with the possibility of adapting them to our needs. Our only issue was the cluttered house that we lived in. The problem was that the amount of stuff created the ever-present mess. You can feel overwhelmed and the conditions of living might be a challenge and not for everyone. But other than that we felt very welcomed and taken care of.

My experience here was good 🤍. I learned so much about cows and enjoyed every moment in nature. Olov always helped me with the country's transportation system (which can sometimes be a bit confusing). During my stay, I went on bike trips, swam in lakes, and even went canoeing. On some occasions, Olov took us to museums and interesting places in the surrounding areas, and he always opened the doors of his apartment in Uppsala whenever we needed it. Thank you to Åke, Jasper, Maria, and Ander for the time we shared; I learned so much about your culture. And thank you for everything Olov

Olov was very nice, he took us to different places to enjoy our stay, and he was very flexible with schedules and days off, but on the other hand the house was quite messy and dirty, and most of the time we had to scrub and cook their things
