La experiencia

We are a warm and friendly Scottish family living a low-impact life. We live a simple permaculture life on 3 acres of Scottish paradise. We are looking for help with the permaculture garden, the hobbit-style guest house, and creative projects, including adding more magic and inspiration to the fairy glen and wild garden.

Programa detallado

We have been hosting volunteers for six years and enjoy their contributions to our special place. Volunteers help out with tasks needing to be done, such as food growing, compost making, looking after chickens and ducks, helping us clean our quirky hideaway, and taking part in creative natural-building projects. We are flexible and open to creating new projects based on volunteers' ideas.
We expect at least 5 hours of work per day in exchange for three meals plus accommodation in your self-contained hobbit-style pod with a double bed, private shower and toilet, a woodburning stove, comfy beanbags, and basic kitchen facilities.

Actividades & Turnos

Days and hours are flexible but a minimum of 5 hours of work per day, for 5 days per week is expected. After the evening meal, we require quiet family time, and you are free to explore or have your own quiet time in your accommodation. When you are not volunteering, your time is your own. After a productive week, I am happy to take volunteers exploring Moray and the Highlands on their days off when time permits.

You must take care of your accommodation at all times, and leave it as clean as you found it. We reserve the right to charge for cleaning when you leave, or ask you to leave if you do not keep it in reasonable order.

You are free to leave at any time if you are unhappy and we reserve the right to ask you to leave if you disrespect and break any of our rules.
