This was the best experience I've ever had. Don't hesitate to apply and go to Hacienda, because you will not regret it. The place, the food, the people, the host, everything was perfect and well organized. Communication and rules were well established, and the host was always respectful and ready to make your experience in Spain very memorable. People care about you here and you feel part of the Hacienda family. Being a volunteer here was the best thing I did in Europe! Definitely coming back sometime soon (specially if there is more of that Chocolate cream for breakfast).

My experience at Hacienda was so fun and memorable! Alvaro and the team made us feel at home and were all super friendly. The schedule was very flexible and I enjoyed doing activities with the kids + helping the kitchen staff prep for meals. Definitely recommend as a way to interact with kids, meet other travelers, and enjoy nature!

I'm really grateful for the experience!! The camp itself is a beautiful place where you truly feel like home. The people there are so kind and welcoming. On one hand the language barrier was frustrating because I couldn't tell the people around me how much I appreciated them. But on the other hand it was the best opportunity to practice spanish. Nevertheless I recommend to know a few words beforehand. Alvaro is a sweetheart who will joke around. He is super flexible with the free days and will maybe organize a trip with the volunteers together if he sees that you worked hard the days before

Wish I was back! The friends I made with the volunteers and staff I will remember forever. You keep active by putting in good work and will sleep so well after!! The different groups and activities hosted ensure you can help in different ways (zipline, monitor kids, clean, maintenance, etc). The staff and host Alvaro are all so kind and fun, they really care about the place and people. They are the most humble, hardworking, friendly people (especially if you're ready to learn Spanish🤪). Thankful for my time at HB. 🥰

Has sido una gran voluntaria y mejor persona =) Nos has ayudado siempre y sin importar la tarea, desde los niños hasta montar el campo de Paintball. Muy contentos de tu paso por nuestra Hacienda, ojalá te volvamos a ver. Cuidate mucho y mucha suerte en tu nueva aventura tras la univerdad!

The experience in the farm was absolutely amazing. The place was wonderful. The rooms provided by the host were really comfortable and there was a certain amount of privacy among volunteers. The 5 working hours per day were always respected.The tasks were enjoyable ,since they were different depending on the days, such as helping the monitors with the outdoor activities( zip line, kayaking etc),cleaning the facilities and more . Alvaro and his team were fantastic people, really flexible and friendly. We also went on daily excursions with Alvaro on our days off! I will miss them all ❤

An amazing experience! I've enjoyed every moment & the farm feels like a second home to me now ❤️There's such a good energy being in HB and working there that's not easy to find in other volunteer projects! Most of the staff except Alvaro don't speak much english (this is a great chance to learn Spanish), but everyone is so friendly and you'll always get a big smile from all of the team☺️Alvaro does his best to make the work enjoyable and as flexible as possible (in return for hard work😉) I will miss the place and the people so much… But I will not miss Alvaro's terrible jokes 😂

Será difícil superar esse voluntariado no sítio. O trabalho é duro na mesma proporção que a diversão é garantida 100%. Tudo começa pelo lugar que é LINDO (um pouco longe da cidade... algo que pode ser solucionado sem problemas), instalações excelentes e completando pela sensacional família o sítio: Álvaro, Paqui, Sonia, Rafa, Tronco e Froid s2). A chave pra toda e qualquer boa relação é a comunicação, e aqui não é diferente. Álvaro é um anfitrião aberto a sugestões e conversas, e sempre preocupado pelo bem-estar de todos. P2: Do início ao fim, nossa jornada na Hacienda foi incrível. Álvaro, Rafael, Sônia e Paqui são pessoas maravilhosas, que todos deveriam ter o prazer de conhecer. As atividades eram leves e flexíveis. Álvaro é o nosso mais novo irmão (ou mais velho). Obrigado por tudo, você é foda. Tudo ✌🏼. Um dia de cada vez, te vemos no Brasil. 🖤🖤🖤

P1: Desde que iniciamos nosso mochilão, eu e o João sempre conversávamos sobre a falta que sentíamos dos nossos amigos e da nossa casa. Foram dez dias assim, viajando sozinhos, até chegarmos no sítio. Álvaro abriu as portas de sua fazenda e nos acolheu como se nos conhecesse há anos. Em menos de um dia já nos tornamos uma família e todos nossos sentimentos mudaram. Não trabalhamos só para cumprir as horas semanais. Trabalhamos porque aqui também é nossa casa e porque admiramos a história desse lugar. Só temos boas lembranças (mesmo que chuvosas) de uma experiência inesquecível!

My experience was really beautiful. When I arrived we were few volunteers and there was bad weather, so I thought I would be bored. But in the end everything was perfect. I've known great people, and being together makes you a little family. Alvaro is a lovely person, he is super helpful, understanding and flexible with the tasks. Also his welcome was unforgettable! Super recommended! 🧝🏽‍♂️🐑🧙🏽🐥⛰🥰
