The accommodation was sub standard and not secure. Safety of us volunteers was comprised during the night. The after care was not adequate, given the situation could have been significantly worse. We were not treated with respect and care following a traumatic event. This led to 3 of us leaving immediately, as there was also a history of poor communication and disrespect. Work jobs were as expected and not too difficult. Was such a shame as I was very looking forward to experiencing Naploi.

Hi Lucy,
Thanks for your review.
I've spoke with the complete staff after your departure and managed to take everything under control again.
We significantly improved our security (new barriers, new surveying cams, sound alarms, etc).
Hopefully this will not happen again. It was a traumatic event for all of you volunteers but also for us.
I understand your reaction together with the other volunteers, I'm sorry that the staff reaction was not what you would have expected, those situations are difficult for everyone to handle.
However, it seems that everything came back to normal since a few weeks now.
Wish you the best for the rest of your trip and hope you find nice places where to experiment this beautiful way of travelling that is volunteering!
Kindly,
Christophe

I had some fantastic encounters, and Christophe was welcoming. However, when I arrived at the hostel, there was considerable tension between the staff and volunteers. I sensed a lack of communication between employees and volunteers. The manager exhibited verbal aggression in response to an situation . Unfortunately, someone broke into our room and the staff didnt deal well the situation with us. So for that reasons, I did not feel comfortable staying any longer, so I decided to leave earlier. There is room for improvement in fostering better connections between hostel staff and volunteers.

The hostel's quiet location offers a nice escape from the noisy city center. The shifts are manageable, varying with check-outs, and the kitchen and guest areas are great. Downsides include the general manager's attitude (reported to Worldpackers), the volunteers bedroom door that doesn't close, and occasional bathroom issues, but alternatives were available. WiFi may be challenging for digital nomads. The rest of the staff are welcoming, helpful, and friendly, making it a potential stay for me with a different GM

The hostel has an incredible energy, it's perfect for meeting travelers from all over and connecting with people. Some days the work is a bit hard because we have to make coffee and then beds (sometimes there are many). The staff are very nice and do everything they can to make us feel at home.

I loved my time at the hostel! The entire staff is incredible and the place is really nice. The hours worked in the morning can vary, sometimes we made 15 beds, sometimes 30.

The hostel, a home. A hostel and a home. A space of stillness in the middle of a chaotic city. A chaos that for some reason that I don't know and never claim to know, hides large amounts of magic. the hostel means "siesta", a nap. That portion of time that we dedicate to gain strength to continue. In the hostel I found a lot of altruistic hearts and parts of the world that fed my world. Unlimited thanks to the hostel for being a warm refuge and to Chris, leader of volunteers and artist, one of those who feed their hearts with the gasoline of creation.

It was absolutely BRILLIANT!! There are no words to convey how much fun I had:) I will definitely suggest and share the Napoli experiences, and hats off to the hostel staff (everyone) who are always there for you and will adore you even if you make a mistake, awwwwww;) then off to Chris (Big Brother :D) who is a truly great man will always explain things calmly and is a huge help with the best personality)) Perfect place to meet new visitors and immerse in various cultures, plus the city itself has a terrific feel with excellent sites around. Hostel's ambience MAMA MIA! Grazie Mille:)

This was my first experience as a volunteer at Worldpackers, I just have reason to thank the hostel for this opportunity. Cris gives full support to volunteers and opportunity to those who have never volunteered before. As cliché as it sounds, my team of volunteers together with the hostel staff created a real family, so this will always be an unforgettable experience. I loved meeting each of the staffs and I will miss being with you! Gratitude for being part of the hostel team even if only briefly and Napoli will always be in my heart.

Volunteering at the hostel has been an amazing experience ! The staff here is so welcoming, helpful, kind and funny. And I feel like everyone is trying to help, if you don't know what to do in the tasks or what you have to experience in the city. And of course Chris, the guy taking care of the volunteers, is so funny and will be there to make sure you feel safe in the tasks! I will definitely recommend this place:))
