Ground crew at Aussie beachside campground

The camping has been one of my favorite experiences so far. This place really feels like home! The work might be tough sometimes, but it's always fun when you do it with the right people :) Being almost fully remote isn't an issue at all; everyone spends time together either for some surfing or just to lay on the beach—it's almost as if you forget your phone! We usually work from 9am to 1pm and all eat together for lunch and dinner, which are always great moments to bond with everyone. Annemieke and Kit are very open-minded about everything; they'll listen to every one of your propositions!

The camping was the best experience as a volunteer. You get to live with the crew on the camp, we eat, work, surf together. This was one of the best experience i recommend it, especially if you want to live in the nature, in a group of amazing people. The tasks where most of the time cleaning the bathrooms, sorting the bins and doing a few manual jobs, it's physical and not really glamourous but with a good Crew you'll love it. You get to learn a lot and enjoy the moment!

My time at the camping was incredible. Kit, Anna, and Richie have really done an amazing job at creating a good culture there. We had big family style lunch and dinners everyday, worked exactly the amount of hours that were agreed, the beach only a 2 minute walk away, and boards to use whenever we liked. Couldn't recommend enough:)

I just loved it, amazing people and community - there really isn't a thing I would change about it! The work isn't the most glamorous but the people you're doing it with more than makes up for it, and when you're done you can surf to your hearts desire!

The camping is like living in paradise. The local people showed such care and enthusiasm in trying to provide a great experience for travellers passing through. What I have experienced at the camping has been everything Anna and Kit promised, and more. the camping is NOT a surf camp but a place you can learn so many new skills whether it be cutting/treating bamboo, playing the guitar or didgeridoo, or cooking for 15 people twice a day. The hours worked were what I expected and the tasks at hand were highlighted prior to arrival. The biggest pro was not having wifi all day.

We had a great experience at the camping, it's a great way to meet new people. We did this at the end of our Australian journey but would totally recommend beginning Australia like this. The crew and the people were the best part of this and the work was alright. Thanks Kit and Anna for the experience 😊

My position here was to take care of Ayla. Ayla is an amazing child, she's is so fun to be with and play with. She is smiling all the time and just comunicates with you so good. I had the oportunity to meet the rest of the crew at the camping, as I lived at the house, and meeting them is amazing.

Volunteering at the camping was a great time looking back to it. Although, there were difficulties with communication sometimes between the hosts and the crew, I personally enjoyed the time there with all the other volunteers and colleagues. All in all, if you are comfortable with working and living in the bush and sorting bins, I do recommend going there. On the one hand, to meet some inspiring international individuals, but also to experience living in the wild and without the comfort most of us are used to.

Best part was meeting other international travelers! If you are prepared to live remote and be one with nature you can have a good time
