Hola! Mi estadía en el hostel fue tranquila. Compartes tu tiempo con otros voluntarios, la cocina es amplia y muy limpia. Y dar paseos en la bicicleta es genial. Hablando de trabajo, debes cumplir con los shift que son de 4 horas al día, mientras hagas bien tu trabajo, todos felices. 😁 Alex, el anfitrión tiene mucha paciencia para explicar todo. Si van en pareja, tengan en cuenta que es posible que los horarios de descanso no les cuadren. Gracias faro, see you soon.

Tuve una experiencia muy buena en el hostel! Me sentí muy cómodo, conocí muchas lindas personas tanto voluntarios como huespedes. Me permitió aprender sobre housekeeping y conocer la ciudad. El hostel es muy lindo y esta um poco lejos del centro y de la playa pero teníamos bicicletas disponibles para usar. Alex es muy amable y flexible con los horarios. incluso viviendo ahí empecé a trabajar y me acomodó mis horarios para poder hacerlo.

Los horarios se cumplían, en ningún momento hicimos horas de más o cosas que no estaban dentro de lo establecido. Las instalaciones estaban bien cuidadas y cerca del aeropuerto. Ademas, suele haber al rededor de 6-10 voluntarios al mismo tiempo, por lo que es una muy fácil conocer a gente de todas partes. Sin embargo, la gestión del hostal con respecto a los voluntarios era muy pobre, durante mi estancia se echaron a cuatro voluntarios y un huésped sin razón aparente. También apuntaré, que no se ofrecen comidas ni clases de surf gratis. Y que en mi caso raramente coincidí con mi pareja.

About this: these 4 volunteers and 1 guest who were invited to leave the hostel, in just 3 days of stay at the place (and Lucia was included), caused several inconveniences with other volunteers and guests, in situations such as not respecting the quiet time, remaining until 3:00 am awake drinking and bothering the others who wanted to sleep for 2 days in a row, during the the third day we had a meeting few hours earlier explaining the general rules of the hostel but during the night these 4 volunteers with 1 guest came back from the public park outside totally drunks and opened the kitchen at 3:30 am and started cooking and making so much noise waking up several guests and staff causing great inconvenience leaving behind a big mess and the next day one of these volunteers should open the reception in the morning and simply woke up early and went to the beach to enjoy the day with the other 3 without giving any explanation and Lucia was one of them, returning only in the late afternoon where they were asked to leave the hostel.
In our hostel we demand compliance with the rules and commitment and respect from volunteers to guests or staff who do not comply with the rules will be asked to leave.

Tenia que estar tecnicamente un mes pero sin motivo ninguno el anfitrion (alex) decidio echarnos a mi y a otras amigas del voluntariado a la primera semana. Solamente porque mi compañera de viaje subio un poco el tono de voz una noche, cuando ellos mismos se ponian a ver la tele a la misma hora. Nos echaron sin antelacion y de rebote solamente porque le cogieron mania a nuestra amiga, sin motivo ninguno. El surf y las clases NO SON GRATIS y no dan almuerzo como dicen. Respeto el ambiente se creo muy mal rollo pero por parte del anfitrion, que estaba muy estresado y lo pago con los voluntar

About Surf classes, It is written that we have a Surf School as a partners and the classes can be free or have discount, about the meals WE NEVER OFFER MEALS even for a guest, we don't know where you saw this information because it is not written on worldpackers. We need responsible and committed volunteers with the hostel, not people who are just looking for fun and party.

Tive uma experiência super positiva com o Hostel! Desde o início fui muito bem recebida e o ambiente foi sempre acolhedor e organizado. Gostei muito de trabalhar sob a supervisão da Cheila e da Thais – ambas foram sempre atenciosas, claras nas orientações e criaram um clima leve e respeitoso durante toda a experiência. Com certeza recomendaria essa oportunidade para outros voluntários!

O Hostel é um pouco distante do centro de Faro e da praia, mas é um lugar bonito, próximo ao aeroporto e alguns pontos legais de ir caminhando, a equipe é super receptiva e atenciosa, fui muito bem acolhido.

Desde o início , cheguei de madrugada após 15 horas de viagem no primeiro dia estava muito cansado atrasei 1 hora para começar as tarefas devido ao cansaço, ela foi grossa e desagradável , e no outro dia trabalhei 10 horas seguidas para pagar esse dia , quem entra às 10 da manhã trabalha até às 15:00 e não pode fazer nenhuma refeiçao durante o período , os quartos s lotados , a anfitriã e super arrogante , pedi para sair do voluntário e pagar a estadia como hóspede pela falta de empatia e organização, ela encurtou voluntariado recusou que pagasse como hóspede , desanimador!

I am so sorry for our experience together, Gabriel.
You have agreed with the work schedule sent before your arrival, and never asked me for adjustments, simply didn't show up.
After we talked and both agreed you would stay for more 7 days, so you could arrange your life before leaving, some days later you simply asked me to finish your volunteer work earlier than that, and I requested us to follow the agreed previously. Unfortunately, you didn't show up for work the next days.

A experiência não foi tão boa qto da primeira vez que visitei o hostel. O quarto dos voluntários estava muito mal. Sujo e pequeno para 3 beliches. Acredito que não é uma boa ideia colocar voluntários, residentes e funcionários no mesmo quarto. Deveria ser repensado. O trabalho é fácil e a gestora simpática.Ha muita conversa paralela entre os funcionários. E bom ter atenção a isso, para não se indispor com ninguém. No mais, se você for, vá preparado para não ter boas noites de sono. Mas, qto ao trabalho e mega tranquilo.
