It was a fantastic experience! In comparison to what I heard from volunteers at different hostels I think the hostel are the best hostel to volunteer at. I enjoyed my tasks, both hostels in Lisbon are great places to live & hang out, the other volunteers & staff are AMAZING! I had a nice room with 2 roommates and plenty of free time. The location is great, i could walk basically everywhere. Breakfast is super yummy and the discount on activities/drinks is a real gamechanger! And obviously, Lisbon is just amazing. I love this city so much and I'm definitely coming back :) Thank you <3

Lisbon the hostel was such a beautiful experience:') The hostel is so incredible, literally filled with beautiful plants, it's such an insane place to be able to call home. The staff members and the volunteers all contributed to such a home-like experience, I couldn't believe I had to go back to Berlin when I had built a literal home in Portugal. (should have stayed and done online uni). Also volunteering here will able you to meet people from the entire world constantly. And not only meeting them but engaging with them in all of the hostel's activities such as pub crawls and tours!

What can I say? This was such an amazing experience, that I will be forever grateful for! The Sunset the hostel, has such a special place in my heart after staying there for almost five weeks. The work was very fair and respected and all of the staff members made it so easy to work in a team:) I think I have never worked or even stayed in a place where all of the people are so so nice, welcoming and open minded! Thank you to all of the staff and the other volunteers who made this stay a truly special one 🫶🏼 Lisbon will always have a special place in my heart! Hopefully see you soon!

I had a great time at Sunset the hostel! The work was not difficult, and the schedule gave you plenty of time to explore. The staff is also very welcoming and organized. Thank you for this fun experience!

This was the best experience ever. If you're looking for a place where you can meet and party with people all around the world, explore the city and feel like home with the best people, this is the place for it. All the staff and also the guest were super friendly, no one judge each other and it was always fun spending time together. You also have plenty of time to explore the city and the location is perfect, so you can enjoy Lisbon for sure. I really appreciate all the people I met at the hostel. If I have a chance to go back, I'll definitely come back.

My experience at sunset the hostel was really nice. The staff and the other volunteers were amazing and it was a pleasure to work and spend time with them! The shifts and working hours were really fair and the work itself was easy. In addition to that, you usually have many days off which gives you enough free time to explore and enjoy Lisbon. The location of both hostels in Lisbon is amazing and it is really easy to meet other travelers. I`m really grateful for the experience and the people I`ve met!

I stayed at the Sunset the hostel and worked at the Lisbon the hostel- staff at both hostels were incredibly kind and fun to be around. They are all super special. The only issue I had with this hostel was the way shifts were set. You were always working alone unless you were doing reception shift. You didn't have a way to naturally connect with the volunteers in the beginning, especially if you worked alternating shifts. I just felt that the way the schedule was set, it made it hard to connect

It's strange you felt difficult to connect because that's one of the things people normally consider easier but I guess it depends on the person.

It was a good opportunity to experience not only a hostel life, but also the beautiful city, Lisbon. Yes, I do recommend future volunteers to come and enjoy what's ready for them. My heart goes out to the all the staffs and volunteers for what they 've done while I stayed there. In particular, I want to give my special thxs to Magda. As a manager, she always tried to do something for volunteers in need. Hope to be back sometiime very soon:)
