My first volunteering experience was enjoyable. The host strictly followed the schedule and tasks assigned. I worked two shifts: mornings assisting with breakfast and making beds, and evenings at reception, welcoming guests and organizing the bathrooms. As for challenges, Spanish was the primary language to communicate with the team, and initially, making beds could be tricky due to limited space and the requirement not to stand on them. With practice, it became easier. Overall, I stayed in the same bedrooms as the guests, which were excellent. Thanks to the entire team for their hospitality!

It's too bad we didn't had enough time and guests to stage creating activities for the guests u would love to do that! The hours are okay, the team is understanding if you want to change your schedule, one day free is not that great to travel outside de city :( I laugh a lot in Spanish with the team, I think if you are a very sociable person the team would be perfect for you because they are a Little bit shy at first, and then I enjoy myself a lot! This volunteering is great if you wan to practice Spanish, Additionally the free food is amazing and helps you save a lot of money. Cartagena is beautiful and there is a lot to do so would recommend staying at the hostel.

O hostel é muito bem localizado, as instalações são muito boas com ar condicionado nos quartos, o trabalho é simples e as horas são respeitadas. Agradeço a todos os funcionários pela simpatia e por estarem sempre a disposição para ajudar. Super recomendo esse voluntariado.

The o hostel é o melhor hostel de Cartagena. Eu amei meu voluntário, a equipe é genial o hostel é lindo o trabalho é muito bom e recomendo esse voluntariado para todos os viajantes porque é chevreeee... é Maravilhoso em tudo.

Minha experiência foi tranquila , as tarefas são fáceis de fazer as horas são respeitadas , as refeições são boas e instalações confortáveis, as meninas da manhã são muito fofas ❤️

Adorei minha experiência no The o hostel hostal, inclusive estendi um pouco mais meus dias. A equipe é muito legal, todos me trataram super bem, trabalho tranquilo, estrutura maravilhosa. Obrigada por serem minha família, por me acolherem e fazer com que eu me sentisse em casa ❣️

Working with the hostel team was a lovely experience. The work is housekeeping in the am, meeting & greeting in the pm. A lot of the tourism is local/Spanish speakers & the team don't speak a lot of English, so this is perfect placement if you're looking to enhance your Spanish! The team are very welcoming & social, as a hostel would be - You'll definitely need a good level of understanding Spanish for the role. Accommodation is in the main dorms, the food really is delicious. Breakfast & dinner can be busy times as you're eating on site with other guests! But would recommend the experience!

O tempo que passei como voluntária foi maravilhoso !! As tarefas se dividem entre arrumar as camas e apresentar o hostel aos novos hóspedes/ levar até a instalação, bem simples.Equipe muito amável, amei muito conhecer todos !!!
