La experiencia tuvo q terminar antes porque yo no estaba de acuerdo, ni fui informada con antelacion que tenia que recolectar y sacar la basura de todo el hostal incluido baños y el café, lo cual pienso que no es trabajo de recepción que fue la oferta suministrada por el anfitrión. Pero en general el lugar es agradable, limpio y cómodo, como recomendacion adicional hay q estar pendiente de todo lo ofrecido y tener claras las reglas antes de ir ya que se presentaron situaciones que debieron ser ajustadas como el tema del descanso y tareas fuera del horario

Desde que llegue al hostel, recibí una bienvenida calurosa. Ese mismo día recibí las indicaciones de la tarea a realizar. Quiero destacar la colaboración del equipo, el respeto de los horarios establecidos, siempre estuvieron pendientes a mis necesidades a nivel personal y laboral. Bucaramanga es un lugar espectacular. Recomiendo al hostel, para ser voluntariados pues desde que llegas te hacen sentir como parte de la familia. Lina, Siempre se preocupo por mi antes, durante y después de mi llegada. Marcello es un sol de persona, también estuvo atento a cualquier inquietud que surgiera.

Cesar y todo el staff del hostel son demasiado amables, se convirtieron en una familia para mi. Los días en el hostal no fueron nunca aburridos, siempre hay viajeros de todas partes y personas increíbles para compartir, además todos los espacios son ¡Wow! están pensados para ser verdaderamente acogedores y cómodos. El clima para las actividades es flexible y amigable. En realidad es más difícil tener que decir adiós, pero volveré pronto, me llevo muy buenos recuerdos y experiencias.

This was an incredibly rewarding experience! Bucaramanga is warm and steady — a place you could easily call home. The hostel and adjoining café are well-managed, and the staff are welcoming, offering a great chance to build friendships and practice Spanish daily. Shifts are balanced, allowing time to explore. The location is ideal: walkable to bars and eateries, and close to natural attractions like canyons and San Gil for rafting and bungee jumping. Excited to see how the project grows in the years to come!

Very good place to volunteer, everyone is very kind and accommodating. Place is comfortable and in a good location close to many cafes, bars and shops. Work load is minimal and easy!

It was my first experience and I really felt like at home. The owners and the staff of the place are amazing people. They were so nice people, they behaved me like a member of the family. I felt so comfortable there that I wanted to work more. And I will definitely try to find a chance to work with them again in the future. I met many people over there and made many friends over there that I am still in touch. I totally recommend. Thank you so much for everything, I am missing that place everyday. Sahin

Fue una gran experiencia contar con Sahin, a pesar de ser su primer voluntariado, se desenvolvió muy bien, entendió rápidamente sus actividades a realizar y las desarrolló muy bien, con excelente actitud y muy buena vibra. Esperamos que pueda volver muy pronto a Zamia!

Overall, I highly recommend this experience, but ONLY if you speak/understand some Spanish. The post about the experience says intermediate English OR beginner Spanish, but I really do think you need some knowledge of the language because all of the tasks will be explained to you in Spanish and your colleagues mostly only speak Spanish. I think I would have enjoyed my stay even more if I would have been able to communicate better with the staff from the hostel and the coffee shop adjoined to the hostel, but then again, everyone is very nice and helpful.

The hostel is an incredible hostel with beautiful and spotless facilities, located in the best area of the city, there are plenty of things to do around, lots of parks, restaurants and bars. The tasks are exactly as described so you do not have to worry about doing anything that you were not taught to do. You can feel the support from the host all the time since they always help you with anything, my experience could not be better, thanks a lot to the staff.
