My stay at the hacienda was amazing. I met many other travellers and we really had a community going. Luis made us feel like home. I'd definitely recommend this if you like dogs, you'd like to meet others and want to have some peaceful days in the countryside.

Me and my friend stayed at the Hacienda for 5 weeks. Luis made the place feel like home to us, making it hard to leave all the dogs and the life there behind. He's creative and will give you tasks according to your interests. Work is always fun, sometimes really random& chaotic, but I loved it. ;) I loved the little characteristics that made the Hacienda feel special.. Daisy, Pipo, Bernie, cooking on the fire, bonfires in the woods, learning new skills ;), trips to Cusco, karaoke nights- I'll miss a lot. I felt very happy here, learned about compassion. I definitely recommend❤️

Paula and Marlene estuvieron como voluntarias durante 5 semanas en las que me ayudaron en muchas cosas distintas y en pocas palabras solo puedo decir que son dos chicas maravillosas, cada una de una manera especial y única, y que espero volver a verlas pronto!

A experiência foi muito boa. O anfitrião é flexível, promove momentos de convivência, como karaokê, pisco e fogueira. A fazenda, com montanhas, animais e riacho, é linda e tranquila. Os cachorros são muito legais. O quarto era bom, os banheiros sempre limpos, e tivemos oportunidade de nos conectar com pessoas do mundo todo. Há ônibus acessíveis para Cusco e passeios organizados, além de uma vendinha próxima. Como pontos a melhorar, o chuveiro tem pouca vazão, sentimos falta de mais organização e comunicação, e alguns passeios poderiam ser melhor planejados para evitar imprevistos.

Ótima experiência para quem gosta da vida bem roots. O trabalho é realmente voltado para a manutenção da fazenda e cuidado com os animais (25 cachorros, cavalos e burro). A fazenda fica quase completamente na liderança dos voluntários então para fazer acontecer depende da comunicação entre todos que estão hospedados lá e da boa vontade de cada um. O ideal seria um gerente para fazer a ponte entre Luis e todos os voluntários. O lugar é lindo mas a infraestrutura precisa ser mais bem cuidada. Luis é super flexível e compreensível.

Lovely place, I recommend it! I stayed for 3 weeks and did the 5 hours 5 times a week in order to stay for free. The work is really nice. There is usually a lot of volunteers at the same time, so you have a little community - and lots of sweet dogs of course, and horses and bees! The beds and rooms are nice and big and you will probably have a roommate or two. The food is simple and vegetarian.

I had a great experience at the hacienda, the dogs were sweet and the people were kind and caring. The land is absolutely beautiful and pizza night and the night around the fire was particularly fun :)

Myself and my boyfriend had an amazing time at La Hacienda and would return in a heartbeat! Luis the host is a lovely guy and the work was easy, and enjoyable and good hours! The community with the other volunteers was amazing as well and we spent time together playing cards and having pizza and pisco nights which were the best :) We fell in love with everyone single dog and recommend spending time with all of them and getting to know them, I couldn't recommend La Hacienda anymore for a beautiful, laid back relaxing and fun experience with amazing people and dogs
