Aurora is a very awesome young lady. We really enjoyed her company. From the moment she came in the door she fit right in ..she was very quiet at first but got comfortable with every one in no time. We certainly hope she enjoys the rest of her visit to Canada We made a friend and we certainly would welcome her back anytime. I’m sure she will fit well anywhere she goes. Enjoy the rest of your Canadian trip Aurora. Maybe we will see you in Mexico. Ray

One of the best experiences of my life. Ray and Cécile gave me a wonderful welcome. I had the opportunity to discover the life of a real Canadian family and learn about Canadian culture, as well as water skiing. Ray introduced me to everything he knew about nature and Canada. I felt like part of their family during my trip. I felt comfortable, and they always knew how to help me through good times and bad. A big thank you to them for everything.

It was such an amazing experience at Ray&Cecile's cabin. They are very friendly and generous, making me feel at home. They are friends with lots of nice local people and I got to meet many. Work wise, it wasn't busy because it was TOO COLD(-30/-20), and tasks were very easy: mainly, maintaining the fire, and some heavy lifting for bits delivery. I could visit and learn about oil rigs. I enjoyed watching hockey (and running the PB) and riding a quad and a snowmobile, which I found myself to be a terrible driver lol, but I really enjoyed it! It was a very CANADIAN experience. Merci beaucoup!

Ray and Cecile are the best! I flew in from Mexico (no winter clothes), and Ray lent me his—total lifesaver. It was Christmas/New Year's, so the "work" was just fun chores like gathering firewood and keeping the house cozy, with Tish, Nucho, and Shadow always around. Delivering drill bits with Ray was a blast—lots of ranches, wildlife (owls, deer, coyotes), but still no moose, sadly. Snowmobiling was the funniest—I fell, and poor Ray got tossed off behind me, oops! 😂 Ray is such a kind soul, always helping others. Wishing them all the best—such an awesome experience!

It was two months in contact with nature, learning to take care of the flowers, learning to smile in the less good times, thanks to Ray and Cecile for their hospitality and patience for not mastering English, it was a journey from outside to inside that I will never forget, thanks for the empathy in my processes.

I had a great time at Rays place. He was very nice and always tried to make the best out of my stay and made sure I felt good and comfortable. We had a lot of fun and did some great adventures like snowmobiling or a little tour with his quads, we also played a lot of cards and visited some great icehockey games. I also got to see the northern lights which was a dream come true!! All of the people I met during my time at his place were super friendly and welcoming. It's a great place to get in touch with nature and get away from your busy life. Thank you for the unforgettable time!

The house and surroundings are wonderful with breathtaking views of the lake and woods. The house is cozy, clean, and comfortable. The pets - Tish, Nacho, and Shadow - are very cuddly. The host, Ray, is generous, offering food and organising activities like snowmobile rides. However, work activities lack organization, and the host prefers to supervise closely. Menial tasks like wood fetching and cleaning don't fill much time and there's no public transport to and from the house. Additionally, there were some uneasy situations, prompting me to leave early.

Vanessa is a sweet young lady not afraid to take on any tasks..she came to us for 10 days and stayed almost 5 weeks. We really enjoyed her company and wished she would have stayed longer. We want to wish her luck in her next endeavours and remember Vanessa the door will always remain open for you if you should want to come back. I know you want to travel till you’re 41 and hopefully your dream will come true. We got to do many different things that was all new to her like quadding ,snowmobiling and making firewood. Vanessa stay the way you are and good things will continue to happen to you. I can strongly recommend Vanessa to any worldpackers host. She’s a super young lady. Wishing you the best Ray.
