I had been in the organization for 2 weeks and spend my whole trip in this house . Since the first , they consider you a member of the family . You will be completely immersed in the Nepali culture . Sujan is also a really good guide and will show you places in Kathmandu if you wish it . The kids are just lovely and the time hours are very nice . You get your day free after doing the chicken . If you are looking for a place to stay in Kathmandu I could not recommend this place to you more .

I had a really great time here. I'd been in the organization for almost four months when I came here and it has been a highlight of my experience in this country. I wish I would've started my trip here. Teaching the kids is a lot of fun & something I'd like to do more & learn more about in the future. Taking care of the birds is also great fun. The hours are really reasonable and relaxed. This would be the perfect place for anyone to start their trip in the organization. Next time I certainly will!

I love staying with Sujan. Everyone treats you like one of the family. The Nepali food that they make is amazing and it was truly great to live in a Nepali house for 3 weeks. The children that come to class in the evening are amazing and so clever and willing to learn. In the daytime you can explore Kathmandu and the surrounding area. Sujan took us on lots of walk and to visit interesting temples. I'd definitely recommend to anyone wanting to immerse themselves in Nepali culture and make a difference to some of the local children.

We were immediately welcomed into the family as if we had been here for years! The whole family were extremely friendly and made us feel in a safe environment. Sujan was also a great guide for all the best sightseeing and hiking spots in Kathmandu! With the project now more focused on teaching children in the local community, we also got to spend a lot of time helping to teach and play games with them. We loved everyone here and are sad to be leaving them!

I had a very nice stay at Sujan's house. Both he and his family made me feel like one more and I really enjoyed learning the culture and visiting the city. The children leave me very nice memories of this place, they are very affectionate and are delighted to learn, it is a very nice experience that I highly recommend!

This has truly been a great experience. Sujan's family is very welcoming and I loved living with them for 2 weeks and experiencing their way of living. They took great care of me, taking me to different places around Kathmandu and I even got to spent Holi with them. The kids from the project were also the best, and you could tell they loved to learn some English and Dutch. I recommend to stay at least 2 weeks to really get to know the kids and the family. Thank you Sujan for opening up your home and making me feel like home!

From the first day they made me feel like another member of the family, calling me Sister and looking after everything I needed. I teached some Spanish and played some games with the children, they are so sweet and smart! During my free time they organised tours in different places around Katmandhu, just for me 🤍 I learned about Nepali culture more than I expected. They have such a big heart, I would definitely recommend it to anyone 🫶🏼

Loved my time with Sujan, his family and the children who attend the school program. They were so welcoming and helpful. When we weren't teaching the children they were all amazing at taking us out to the local area and sightseeing or traditional Nepali activities. They were helpful at organising taxis so we could see further sights from the area. Teaching the children was very rewarding and felt the family were good at letting us take the lead with the children, prompting only when needed. Would recommend this experience to anyone who wants a true Nepali experience

It was a beautiful experience! Sujan and his family welcomed me as part of the family. His sister came with us to visit few temples and always replying to our questions. They cooked special food for us. We played traditional board games with them. They were all lovely!. It was great experience also being able to spend time with the children and teach them. It helped me to learn how to teach too. Definitely it is a perfect way to visit the city, learn about the local culture and do something useful with your time. I completely recommend it!
