If you would like to gain insight into rural life of the Piedmont region, you cannot go wrong with this experience. Mario and Maria Grazia are amazing cooks, wonderful storytellers, and incredibly accommodating hosts. I'm grateful for how readily they welcomed me to their beautiful home, and their flexibility when I made travel plans. The more you ask questions and engage with their extensive knowledge of the region's history, cuisine, and culture, the more you'll get out of the experience. The work is reasonable and at times strenuous, but the opportunities gained are worth it all!

💛💛💛💛💛 Marvellous experience, I highly recommend this volunteering to anyone who wants to know how it is to live in Italy, in the countryside, meeting good people, around cute pets and eating delicious food... Maria and Mario are such good people, I could not be more grateful for all the time I spent with them, I will miss you a lot, and Rolo and Panchito and Minu (the pets) and the chickens ❣️ Wonderful experience to connect with the nature and its rhythms ⛰️ I felt super comfortable and respected and sincerely welcome... A experiência foi enriquecedora, a Maria é uma mulher incrível, sempre disposta a tirar as dúvidas, sugeriu passeios, ensinou muito sobre a cultura, história e costumes, levou para fazer passeios juntos, nos deu carona até a estação de trem. Aprendi mais sobre como funciona a alimentação na Itália, aprendi na teoria e prática um pouco mais sobre plantação em horta. Auxiliei no restaurante em alguns dias, como funciona e ver pessoas locais interagindo. Ajudei na limpeza e alimentei os animais. Alguns dias trabalhei horas a mais e perfeitamente ajustamos mais dias. O local e arredores é lindo.

The house and grounds are packed with generations of family charm. You couldn't ask for more selfless, interesting hosts than Maria and Mario :) The food is excellent, and wine is plentiful. I learned how to catch a chicken quite unexpectedly. I do agree that tasks could be better organised, maybe the night before or with a bulletin board waiting. And the wi-fi isn't great in many parts of the house. But if you don't need to be online very much (I freelance while I travel) then this is absolute perfection with fascinating people.

If you want an immersive and authentic Italian experience go to this lovely environmental! You will try the best pasta and other italian dishes ever! You will try an amazing wine - almost everyday lol - produced by themselves. You will sleep in a secure, clean and comfortable place. Sometimes we help in the house duties, sometimes in the kitchen of the restaurant, and also in the wine field… it depends of the season. Maria is a sweet and wise woman and made me feel at home. ❤️ Mario is authentic, funny and love to share his knowledge about history. 🤌 Ciao!

My experience was completely amazing!! I feel like in my own house since the first moment, Mario and Maria are so kind and open minded, they always have a smile for you and available to help. You can visit many nice places around or enjoy the garden they have playing with the animals. It's a rural area so is very quiet and nice to stay away from the noisy cities, relax and take time to connect with the nature. Definitively one of the best thing's was the food, both are very good at cooking and the use products around the area so you will discover the real piedmontese gastronomy.

Gorgeous place. Mario is a trained chef, resulting in delicious meals for volunteers. Maria and Mario are knowledgeable about Piemonte culture, history, and food. Maria is lovely, my Italian mom for the trip. She offered rides into the city when convenient and suggested fun activities. Room for improvement in communication. Sometimes Maria would give one directive while Mario gave a different one, leading to disorganization and wasted time. If you want a structured experience with clear expectations, this is not the best option for you. But if you are very flexible, go for it! Grazie di tutto!

What can I say for Maria Grazia and Mario? These people are so kind and generous. Their place is so beautiful and peacefull. I learned many things with Mario about cooking, mushrooms and many more. Food is amazing, I came back in Greece with many recipes. Maria Grazia is a really understanding person, we managed my day offs in order to visit Florence. Also there are many places to visit nearby, either bike or feet. I have so many things to tell. But for me a place is as beautiful as its people. Maria Grazia and Mario are the kind of people that stay in your heart. Thank so much for everything.

My experience in this place was absolutely amazing. I learnt a lot about everything... Countryside lifestyle, different mindset... I knew people totally different than me and it was really amazing. I felt me truly well here! Less about mosquitos bites 🥲 Maria is an amazing person. I'm gonna remember her for always. She always has a smile for everything and for everyone. Made me feel so full of energy . Thanks a lot for the experience!!

I had the most amazing time here! Maria and Mario are absolutely lovely and are very helpful for making the most of your days off. The food and accommodation are great. I sometimes worried that they thought I wasn't doing enough work but I definitely could have improved that by asking so I really hope they were happy with my work. All in all amazing and would absolutely recommend to anyone!
