I had a great time at dream sea. I met so many amazing people and built friendships i will never forget. Danny is such a nice person and extremely helpful. My main issues were because i went during rainy season. Everything i had was soaking wet all the time and wouldnt dry because of the humidity. If youre not expecting to stay in a hostel and you understand everything is outside and it is more camping then anything you can have an amazing time!

It was really amazing! The people and the vibe are crazy nice. You don't really work but that's nice. The shuttles and excursions are quite expensive but you don't have to do them. The shuttle to the beach is free every day. The dorms are the only thing i didn't love. They were fine but a bit dirty and you basically sleep outside. So cockroaches and even scorpions are common. I still really loved it and would go back. The people make it the most special experience.

So I had the most amazing fun time at the surf camp, and I got so lucky with my friends. However, when I arrived i did not feel that I was received very personally or welcomed, as the manager was intoxicated and stayed intoxicated for my whole stay. Dresmsea is meant for volunteers who want to party. Your assigned jobs highly affects the hours you work a week, however for the most people, "work" was minimal. The parties are very very fun and often end in town. You go to Tamarindo every day which is very expensive. The dorms arent private at all and very primitive, but dresmsea is super aesthetic.

The surf camp is a very social place, if you're looking to meet amazing people, this is it! but since everyone only mentions the positives, here's a few things to know before you come: the two big volunteer rooms are really not a great place to live in. they're a bit dirty, you only have 1-2 fans for 20 people and the beds are not very comfy. the food gets pretty repetitive, especially the rice and beans for breakfast. you also have to pay extra for a lot of things, like the excursions and drinking games. i would 100% recommend it, but i think 3 weeks is definitely enough :)

I feel like you have to be a very specific type of person to thrive here. For me, it was a bit too much. Did meet some lovely people though! If you loveee partying, surfing and don't mind bugs, this could be your place. However, if you're looking for something more comfortable, I wouldn't recommend staying at the surf camp. Dorms can get quite dirty, and you'll be sharing them with many people (16/20). Do bring a mosquito net! And be prepared to pay extra for drinking games/excursions (can be expensive). You can also explore by yourself or with friends, so no pressure there. Ask me anything!

This experience helping girls a person as it was so out of my comfort zone. It was nothing like I expected. This is truly an outdoor camping experience. You shower outdoors with cold water, your dorm is outside and all of your belongings, get dirty with sand or dirt. Bugs are always there so the communal pets can be helpful. Get ready to spend money because everything expensive from the excursions to the trips to town. most people here are backpackers so it's a great way to meet other travelers. Food at camp was good but stomach bugs were so common. Have a positive attitude!!

The host Ollie was welcoming and helpful. The atmosphere, however, was not what I expected. It seemed more like a high school with various cliques and exclusion. It wasn't my cup of tea but that doesn't mean it won't be yours. The work is incredibly easy though and you can choose what your job is at the group meeting.
