Definitely recommend, depending on who else is volunteering during your stay, Daejeon can be a very fun city to explore

The Daejeon language studio is a good opportunity to meet with lots of local Koreans as well as other international Worldpackers volunteers. I would hope that anyone considering this is prepared and willing to talk for hours with students and help them practice and learn English by thinking about what will be most helpful for them. Being reluctant to do so is a disservice to the language students. Russell is kind, accommodating, and flexible. He provides a variety of food and listens to individuals' needs. I would highly recommend this for people who are truly curious about others!

It's a good experience for volunteering as a conversationalist to the language studio. I engaged with diverse Koreans and practicing English with them and learn about some Korean the coliving at the same time. The accommodation provided is good, female dorm is 6 persons sharing and all volunteers are respectful to each others. It's about 10min walk to the studio and well accessible to metro and bus stations. Fridge is well stocked and the host is generous with providing ingredients that we requested. The most amazing thing is Daejeon people are very kind and helpful.

I really liked the language studio! You get to work with four different people each day for 50 minutes each, with a 10-minute break between sessions. Sundays are always off, which is nice to rest or explore the city. The apartment and the food provided are okay, and the volunteers there were super nice and helpful. Daejeon is a great city — and don't forget to visit Sungsimdang (the bakery), it's sooo good!!

I really enjoyed the time I spent volunteering at the language studio in Daejeon. You get to meet the locals and learn about korean the coliving, while also helping them improve their English. The hours are good for exploring during the day, and depending on how many volunteers there are at a time, you get more or less free days, but you can always count on Sundays and sometimes Saturdays you just work 2 hours, so I think it's pretty chill. I think the apartment is fairly well located, near bus and subway stations, and near the studio, only far away from the train station. Give it a try!

I loved the time spent here, I think there is not better way to meet local people, and immerse in the Korean the coliving. Russell is a very nice and polite person, very caring and helpful whenever something is needed. We, the volunteers, shared all one apartment, well equipped, in a nice area, walking distance from the language studio. Wish I would have staid 1 more week, but definitely next time when I will be in Korea. Thank you for everything! 🤗

This has been one of the most fun and fulfilling experience I've had. It was the perfect opportunity to meet locals, immerse in the local the coliving, and experience life in a laid-back city. The work is basically about chitchatting with locals to help them with their English and I'm grateful to be able to meet new people everyday. I have learned so much about the Korean the coliving too and this experience has made me fallen in love with Korea. Thank you Russell for hosting me and I hope to come back one day!
