I think communication is really lacking because since I arrived nobody really explained the schedule or the tasks that need to be done. The volunteer room is super crammed and I couldn't unpack at all, just live right out of the backpack. The overall space is nice for chilling, loved the hammocks, the tasks are easy (but also super boring, sweeping the leaves over and over again). Also, the biggest downside was that they say they provide surfboards but most of them are broken or without fins, only one kind of working. I left early, I'm grateful that Jose was understanding about it.

I really enjoyed my time at the hostel: the common areas are big and well organised, perfect to socialise. Cherry on top were the other volunteers, I feel like we made a great team and worked really well together. Accommodation should be better, the volunteers' room is overcrowded and there is barely any space to walk or put your stuff. Jose helped with everything we needed, however I feel like the volunteers should be taken better care of. Most of the times we were left to interact with the manager, who always brushed off anything we had to say and often talked down to us

The hostel is a really nice spot to volunteer at. It's super quite and chill now, not a party hostel as it used to be. Jose is welcome and always help you whatever you need. One of the best parts is that you can use hostel's surfboards for free. I'd definitely recommend you to stay at the hostel if you want to spend a couple of weeks in Montañita The reason I give a 4 is that I applied for a bartender position, but there was not much work and I had to change it to reception at the hostel

This experience was good overall. The tasks are easy (reception and cleaning) and the schedule can be flexible. During your stay you can experience living and meeting other international travelers, learn or practice surf and party with other volunteers. Thank you José for making our stay really enjoyable !

J'ai adoré mon expérience au the hostel. C'est l'endroit idéal pour faire la fête! Les gens qui y travaillent sont accueillant et super gentil. J'ai eu la chance de me faire tout pleins de nouveaux amis. Je recommande cet Hostel à 100%. C'est assuré que je serai de retour!

At first I wasn't sure if i wanted to stay because some things was not how I expected it. So it took some used to it and i really loved it. I was suppose to work at the bar in the hostel because it's a party hostel but they didin't told me it was not like that anymore so I had to work in a club in town. I didin't really speak spanish so it was hard at first but i got the hang of it and Pedro, the bartender, was really nice and funny! The others volonteers were nice as well we had a great gang but everybody left and there was no more people at the reception so we could have used more people :)

A experiência no hostel foi muito boa! Fomos muito bem recebidos por toda equipe. O trabalho foi tranquilo e tivemos bastante tempo pra conhecer Montañita. Recomendo

Nossa experiência no the hostel foi muito boa, o voluntariado nos proporcionou muito tempo para desfrutar de montanita, o hostel disponibiliza bicicletas, motos elétricas e pranchas de surf. Grato a todos da equipe.

The hostel was the ideal place to get to know amazing people from all around the world. It is a place where you can always find something to do and go out any day of the week since Montañita really is a place for partying. My tasks were pretty easy at the hostel since I only had to take care of the different events at our hostel and do promotion for the open bars we had at our place which were open for the public. Its the perfect job to connect with locals and travellers from whole montañita. If you like meeting a lot of new people and going out, i would definietly recommend this place!

Minha experiência no hostel foi mais curta do que eu esperava, porque não funcionou bem para mim. Por ter sido meu segundo voluntariado, ainda estou ganhando experiência e não imaginava que 6 horas de trabalho seriam demais para mim. Achei o meu trabalho pesado, e se eu não fosse embora antes da hora, teria tido que trabalhar 6 dias seguidos para folgar um dia, sendo que quando me inscrevi afirmavam que seriam 2 folgas por semana. Apesar disso, todos da equipe me trataram muito bem e tiveram paciência para me ensinar como fazer as tarefas do jeito correto, as habitações são bem estruturadas.

nunca cumplio los horarios. y por eso acumulo los dias... no tenia ganas para ayudar y no podia estar sola para hacer las actividades...
no fue de ayuda una carga seria mejor dicho.
