Can't recommend enough! My month volunteering as a receptionist/bartender was full of meeting beautiful people, building friendships with volunteers/guests/employees, exploring the city, learning to surf at Matosinhos Beach, listening to music in Parque das Virtudes, and cheering with the crowd as the sun set in Jardim do Morro. The volunteer work is extremely reasonable and straightforward. Super central location! Lourenço is an incredible manager and incredibly special person. From the very beginning he was communicative, enthusiastic, and considerate. I already miss my the hostel family <3

I loved my time here. It was my first time as a volunteer and in Portugal. the hostel and Porto is a must visit. I felt amazing during my whole month . the whole crew is so the hostel, you all feel like a community and will help you out if u need anything. everything is taken care of, not much hard work( u get time to chill during ur shift) . everything is super close with stores and transport, interesting things to see, walking tours and pubcrawls. We should all be responsible and do our job best as possible, while mantaining everyones safety and taking care of eachother:)))

Definitely the best hostel in Porto! In addition to the central location, the hostel allows you to stay in the common area all night without worrying about “curfew”. The contribution hours are calm and respected, the staff members are wonderful and the exchanges with the volunteers are unique! I made great friends in my 3 months of volunteering and I definitely recommend this experience. ♡︎

I had a really positive experience at NiceWay. The location is very central and the volunteers and staff are very friendly and outgoing. The work is light and easy and I really appreciated have two consecutive days off which means you can travel out of Porto for a night or two. Being able to stay at the amazing hostel in Cascais is a huge bonus. I will miss this hostel and will definitely be back to visit!!

NiceWay Porto was a really educational and exciting experience as a first time world-packer. I came to Portugal very last minute during my travels throughout Europe, and I have never experienced a kinder or more welcoming culture. You won't have any problem asking for help of getting directions from a stranger in Porto. Lourenco (the manager) is very kind and he truly wants you to enjoy your time there.

The hostel was not but the nicest way to start my adventure in Portugal. Being par of this experience was so meaningful as I never thought. So recommended. Besides, Porto is an amazing city that I felt in love with. 💛

My time at the hostel was just perfect. Communication with the team was impeccable throughout and the manager really cares that you have a great time in Porto. Due to a very clear work schedule, everything is fair and transparent. I worked in reception and found the responsibility and amount of work very appropriate, there's always time for some fun. Us volunteers spend a lot of time together and the atmosphere is very warm and social. I would definitely come back and am grateful for the eventful time. :)

I had an amazing time during my stay in the hostel. The work is easy, schedules are always respected , communication with the rest of the staff and the manager was easy, they are always there to help you. But the best thing about my stay was all the wonderful people I met there, there's a super friendly environment with plenty of time to socialize and discover the city. I would definitely recommend this experience !

I spent almost two months in the hostel and I couldn't dream of a better start for my time in Portugal. The work (housekeeping in my case) is demanding when big groups are leaving and you have to make a lot of beds but the team is so the hostel that it is a pleasure to help them. The rest of the staff and the other volunteers were also super friendly and I definitely made some friends for life. I highly recommend !
