The hostel is a great base to explore Budapest and the surrounding area. Balasz has great recommendations for what to see and do and you meet a good mix of international travellers and Hungarian locals. Staying in the hostel can be an experience since you sleep where you work but overall I would recommend the experience.

I couldn't ask for a better experience! The hostel is cozy, surrounded by nature in a residential area within easy acess to city center by metro/bus. The work is fair and gives you enough free time to explore budapest! I would say its important to be really motivated and keep a good communication with the team then the work will be chill! Balazs is a lovely host, a good listener and is always open to share a lot. The atmosphere is more like a big house, which makes it more humanizing and easier to create connections with guests. I can say that I left with new friends and great memories :)

I really enjoyed my experience here! The hostel is not that big and the tasks are easy to do. Hours were always respected and the schedule was given weekly. Balazs is not always at the hostel, so you have to be proactive as well. He's a really good host, knows a lot about Hungary and he was always willing to explain and teach us about his country and culture. He also took us on a day trip outside Budapest and cooked Hungarian food, which was great! I had the chance to meet people from all over and make new friends! I loved it! Definitely recommend!

I really enjoyed this experience! The schedule is given every week, and is respected, the tasks are easy. The hostel location is not in city center, (but easily reachable with transportation) however it is very close from a big train station which is very convenient for day trips! Balasz is an amazing host with a lot of knowledge to share. He's visiting the hostel daily but as volunteers you'll run the hostel autonomously most of the day. The volunteer room is by the hostel so it can be humid, so it is not the most comfortable place ever but volunteering here is very pleasant 😊

The hostel is a bit removed from the city but very accessible by public transport! The work was very relaxed and my hours were always respected, but you have to be proactive because the Balász doesn't micromanage. I had a nice time with the guests, the environment in the hostel feels like a shared house. I also had some very good langosz :)) I had to leave early because of perosnal circumstances but balasz was very understanding and all went well!

The experience was one of a kind. If you want to explore budapest and surrounding then this is the place for you. Work hours are respected and you will have enough time to explore the city . Balazs is a wonderful host. He is also traveller and he is a witty man , have knowledge about history , culture, society and lots. I loved having conversation with him about almost everything. IF you are thing about volunteering in budapest , then this is the place!!

The hostel was super fun, It is not very far from the city, and public transportation in Budapest is great! Balasz is super nice and would always listen to the volunteers and try to be flexible when possible. Tasks are not hard, and the shifts aways respected. We get to know our shifts and days off 1 week ahead which is also great. You get to interact with guests a lot, so there's many opportunities to make friendships as well. Overall I would recommend the hostel!

My experience at the hostel was incredible. The hostel has a beautiful and super relaxing the hostel, and it is conveniently located near bus and metro stations, which quickly take you to the city center. Budapest is absolutely stunning. The working hours were exactly as described, and Balasz organized the schedule in advance, which, in my opinion, is perfect because it allows you to plan your work week carefully and manage your leisure time. I loved it and definitely recommend it.

I spent 3 weeks at the hostel and I really liked my stay here. The Hostel is not in the city center, but you can reach the center easily by bus and tram. It also had the advantage of a nice the hostel which is especially amazing when you have good weather. I also had more then enough free time to explore the city, because the shifts were really flexible and the working hours were exactly like described. All in all I just really liked the atmosphere the hostel was giving and I would recommend this place to every other volunteer. :)

Volunteering here was a lot of fun! The hostel is out of the city, so the day to day is really relaxed. Would recommend!
