First time Volunteering in an hostel and it was amazing! Great people, the work is easy and chill and Kerrie is a very nice and courteous host. If you want to stay somewhere near Sydney, this hostel is the best option!

First time Worldpacking and I would highly recommend coming to volunteer! The work was easy and could be finished before lunchtime, so it was easy to pick up another job on the side. Despite coming during winter, there was always something exciting happening and the atmosphere was energetic and fun. There was a great sense of community at the hostel, everyone was so welcoming and we looked out for each other. Great location as it is only 1.5 hour train ride from Sydney and the airport, 10 minute walk from the beach, and right next to Wollongong CBD and night life. Thank you Kerrie and Nathan!

The hostel is super cosy and welcoming, even during the peak of winter there were plenty of things to do, surf, pool table, excursions, bars etc. The work is chill and Kerry is a lovely host. Dorms might be a little cramped but the atmosphere and people there more than make up for it. Espresso machine and 24h kitchen access was a huge plus. Definitely worth a stop over if you're on the east coast or looking for a long term stay to work and save up.

The best place to volunteer. It is only two hours a day of work so it is the perfect time to get to know the surroundings or even look for a compatible job. Kerrie is very kind and concerned about the volunteers, you can really feel the love of home. The team is very fun and they always welcome new ones. The common areas are perfect to share with people from all over the world. Thank you Kerrie we will miss you.

Best experience ever! Wonderfull place, easy connect to tourist places, very flexible with the schedules, not exhausting job and the people there is amazing Really gratefull for the opportunity and kerrie the owner is an angel on Wollongong!

This hostel has such an amazing vibe! Once you pass that door, you'll feel more than welcome… the team is amazing, the environment is great and chill so you'll adapt easily ☺️ I couldn't stay for that long but I can assure that you'll live one of your best experiences.

This was my first Worldpackers experience and I can honestly say it was amazing. The sense of community that exists at the hostel is very strong, and I felt welcome from the first day - you can tell Kerry really cares about the hostel. As for the workload it was very light and varied too. Only a couple of hours a day and you work with the other volunteers so it's an enjoyable way to spend the morning. Only thing would be that the volunteer accomodation was not in great condition, but the room has since been deep-cleaned and is now having work done. All in all would recommend to anyone!

Lea is very proactive. She consistency perform beyond commitments. She is always smiling and radiates positivity. Her physical strength allows her to excel in demanding work. She is very punctual. Throughout our time working together, she consistently shows a positive attitude. Absolutely recommended.

My time at the hostelwas absolutely amazing. Kerrie is extremely kind and flexible, and I met so many amazing people. the hostelis lovely, with a beautiful patio with a pool table and board games where everyone tends to socialize. It is also a short walk from the beach, which we all enjoyed. I'd absolutely recommend this hostel to anyone looking for a truly memorable volunteering experience and looking to meet other travelers.

Really can't recommend this experience enough. kerrie & nathan are the most genuine, kind, and respectful hosts, very welcoming and supportive along your journey. I've met the most incredible people here that I've ended up travelling with further and am so grateful to call close friends. the work is very reasonable and fair, I personally have no complaints. already missing everyone :)
