Helena es una persona con mucha energía y muy sonriente que te transmite siempre que estás con ella. Siempre está dispuesta a hacer cualquier plan que le propongas. El sitio es precioso, de cuento, nunca te van a faltar planes ya que tienes buenísima conexión de tren a otros lugares cercanos y la naturaleza por si te apetece más andar. Durante el tiempo que estuve, fue mi casa :) <3

Helena es una gran anfitriona! Tiene una gran energía y por sobre todo flexibilidad para que tu estadía en el hostel sea lo mas gratificante. Recomiendo totalmente, la ciudad es muy bonita y si te gusta la naturaleza no lo dudes ni un segundo!

Ha sido una experiencia genial, las tareas son sencillas y sólo en las mañanas. Queda suficiente tiempo en las tardes para disfrutar de la naturaleza o visitar Dresden. El hostel esta a pasos de la estación de tren y son unas pocas estaciones para llegar a Dresden en una dirección o al bosque y las montañas del parque nacional Sächsische Schweiss en la otra. Volvería una y mil veces, recomiendo la experiencia absolutamente. Helena te hace sentir parte desde el primer día, es una gran anfitriona y muy clara a la hora de explicar el trabajo (que es unas 5 horas al día, razón por la cual queda tiempo para salir a recorrer o descansar) además, se toma el tiempo de enseñarte la ciudad, acompañarte a algún hiking por el parque nacional y enseñarte hermosos sitios en el hostel y alrededores. Llegué para un voluntariado y me fuí del hostel con nuevos amigos, ya los extraño y sin dudas volveré :)

Tuve una excelente experiencia en el hostel, el lugar es muy tranquilo y Helena te hace sentir como si estuvieras en tu casa. El trabajo es sencillo, tareas de limpieza y ayudar con tareas del hostel por la mañana. Así que por la tarde se puede ir a recorrer el pueblo, Dresden o visitar las montañas que están muy cerca del hostel. Es ideal para gente que quiera disfrutar de la naturaleza y relajarse. Espero volver en algún momento. Muchas gracias por todo Helena.

Everything was great and the agreement/hours were totally respected. Helena is an amazing host, very sociable and friendly, and I felt very at home. The tasks were not too difficult, and on some days there was not very much work, so I had a lot of free time to read or visit places. Thanks so much! Would recommend!

Volunteering at the hostel was an amazing experience for me! I am so glad that my first experience through Worldpackers was at this place! The hostel is very beautiful. Volunteers have their own rooms, which are also great. Helena is an excellent host. She is very kind and cheerful. the hostel is a small, cozy town, perfect for enjoying nature. There is plenty of free time after the volunteer work is done! I had a really great experience, and I hope to meet Helena again next time.

This was my first experience being in another country on my own and working through worldpackers and it was the greatest experience. Not only was place I was working beautiful the host was so nice and helpful with anything and everything I could need. She showed me the most beautiful spots and she is also a great human being. The town of the hostel is small and cozy and you really get to experience the culture of Germany here. It's also close to Dresden so you get that big city vibe if you want it. 10 out of 10 experience!

Helena is a great host! Very open, quite flexible when needed, and ready to help the guests. The stay was pleasant, I got to upgrade my cleaning skills and detail attention. And I had plenty of time to explore the beautiful areas surrounding the hostel. It is a small city, just 30 min from Dresden, near unique places and a lot of places to visit. Good for people like me that wants peace in a very German city. Was exactly what I needed. Already planing a visit soon, not as a volunteer tho!

Volunteering at the hostel was a great experience for me! The hostel is very beautiful, as a volunteer you have your own room in the appartment upstairs. The work is mainly cleaning and doing some small tasks in the garden. the hostel itself is a pittoresque town 20 minutes from Dresden, and the surrounding area is very beautiful. There is also a bike you can use, for instance to cycle a part of the 'elberadweg' which I highly recommend! Lastly, Helena can give you many tips of things to do and will make you feel at home. Thank you for everything!
