Conheci gente que vou levar pra vida toda e tive muitas experiências legais que o próprio hostel proporciona como festas e passeios em grupo. Recomendo e espero poder voltar em breve.

My experience at the hostel was incredible. I connected with many people from different parts of the world, and the most fun part was all the parties. This hostel has a party every day. If you are a foreigner looking for a party and to meet people, this place is definitely for you.

Minha experiencia no hostel foi surpreendente. Fui muito bem recebida, tive uma conexão surreal com a equipe, e os hospedes. São todos muito acolhedores, o hostel também nos recebe com atividades que incluem todos. A estrutura é incrível e as parcerias também! A troca cultural tambem é um ponto que vale falar sobre, muitas pessoas de todos os lugares do mundo. Perto da praia. Maravilhoso! Fui muito feliz no hostel, recomendo demais!

Amazing hostel, location is perfect ( 2 minutes to the beach and 1 minute to the subway). Stayed here during carnival and had the best time of my life. Staff is so welcoming and friendly. Tasks are easy, you have to help around, more like a waitress. There are morning and evening shifts. You can always negotiate your schedule, to get days off when you need if possible. Definitely recommend this hostel and hope to come back soon:)

My time in the hostel was just amazing and I am extremely grateful that I got a chance to volunteer there. I got to meet great people and had lots of fun during carnival. For just few hours of work, that is not too hard you get a lot of benefits and it really makes your stay unforgettable. All the volunteers and stuff are truly wonderful people that I will miss. Hours and tasks could be negotiated and changed and I really felt like part of the big family! Will come back one day, thank you for everything!

I met some amazing volunteers in my week there. It was a good multicultural experience witht the other volunteers and guests. Otherwise, the dorm for the volunteers needs revision. I did not feel very welcomed and I was constantly being watched with suspicion for some reason by two permanent staff members. I wasnt there long enough to review more of the experience.

Infelizmente o lugar para mim era inabitável… O quarto era um depósito do lado das caixas de máquinas e caixa d'água com mofo e umidade…sai do local fiquei com medo de pegar uma doença de pele… A estrutura dos hóspedes realmente é boa e não chega nem perto do que eles oferecem para pessoas que trabalham com voluntariado. Todo mundo foi muito simpático comigo sim, porém nunca conheci um lugar tão ruim para fazer esse tipo de troca…além do mais conversei com a gerente sobre isso e me falou que nada seria trocado…enfim uma pena porque localização realmente é muito boa!

Agradecemos por compartilhar sua experiência e sentimos muito que a troca não tenha sido suficiente para você. Gostaríamos de esclarecer alguns pontos. O quarto de voluntários fica, sim, no terraço, longe dos outros quartos dos hóspedes, o que garante mais privacidade. Nossa equipe de limpeza cuida diariamente do quarto e do banheiro, mas também pedimos que os voluntários ajudem a manter a limpeza e cobramos isso. No entanto, reconhecemos que, às vezes, o cuidado com o próprio local de convivência pode não ser o ideal por parte de alguns voluntários.

O quarto tem 8 camas, ar-condicionado que funciona muito bem, e até um roteador próprio para garantir uma boa conexão de internet. Além disso, o quarto possui janela e porta para permitir uma boa ventilação. Sabemos que a troca pode não ter atendido suas expectativas, mas muitos viajantes valorizam bastante essa experiência. Estamos sempre abertos a melhorar e agradecemos seu feedback.

O hostel tem uma energia maravilhosa, isso não se pode negar. Todos os benefícios que os voluntários recebem são realmente muito bons! Se você gosta de festa, quer viver realmente o Rio de Janeiro e quer ficar perto da praia, esse é o lugar perfeito! Para minha experiencia a única ciosa que deveria ter sido melhor foi a comunicação, eu passei por algumas mudanças na equipe, e não me senti acolhida e compreendida após isso. Eu sou muito grata pelo aprendizado sobre marketing, os staff e os voluntarios, me senti parte da familia mesmo! E agradeço ao Pato por ser sempre prestativo e empatico!

Perfect location and super good vibes if you like partying and don't mind chaos. The tasks were simple, although I felt useless at times because I didn't know what to do. Communication could be better. The night shift felt more like an actual job than a volunteer. I preferred morning shifts. I was disappointed with the living situation. Unfortunately I left before the end of the volunteering because I find a job opportunity that I couldn't miss, but the time I spent there was amazing.

I was so excited to arrive in the hostel and start my month volunteering there. The work shifts were really fun and simple (although I felt useless at times because I can't speak Portuguese or Spanish fluently). Although I was VERY disappointed with the living situation. I expressed my concern about the mold in volunteer room and how the volunteers were very sick (probably due to the mold) and they chose to cover the mold in the mattress instead of moving us and thoroughly cleaning right away. I decided to sacrifice my time in Rio during carnival to stay healthy although I still got very sick.
