All of our job posts mention the fact that shifts are assigned every morning, so no specific shift is guaranteed when working at the Hostel. When a staff member or volunteer has shown flying colors on a certain shift, they earn it as a stable shift. You arrived to work two weeks on bar without experience and expected to work those two weeks (of NYE high season) on bar by yourself without knowing anything about our operations as a business? We apologize for not meeting your unrealistic expectations as a free bar-tending school, but that's just not how it works, especially not in an industry as unstable as tourism. We also had higher expectations of commitment from an older traveler like yourself and someone coming from what is generally considered country with a culture of formality and stability.
