Host guests from all over the world near the incredible Niagara Falls

This was my first Worldpackers activity. Its strengths were - The Niagara Falls are a stone's throw away - Enough free time (cleaning takes 3/4 hours per day) - The chance to visit the closest cities during days off such as Buffalo / Toronto - The owners, Andre and Carroll are the sweetest However do not expect the city to be touristic/welcoming or full of young people. Part of the city is semi-abandoned so I recommend it to those who seek peace and quiet places. Ask in advance if you'll be alone working to be prepared :)

Carroll and Andre are very nice people! I had a beautiful experience in their little guesthouse. They made sure I settled in okay and had everything I needed. First the work may seem overwhelming but after few days you pick up the pace and you basically finish working in 3/4 hours. The work contains some cleaning, making beds and some extra projects like painting or weeding. The waterfalls are breathtaking but the town itself is not that exciting. You'll be pretty close to Canada though and can plan a short trip in Toronto or Vancouver. Overall I had 100% positive experience in the hostel!

The Hosts are both great. They are sociable, comprehensive and caring. The workload is fair, and the place is located in a very convenient place in the city, with the bike they lend to volunteers you can visit many cool places around.

It was my first Woldpacker experience, and it was awesome! Carroll and Andrea are great people, and I will miss them a lot. They are creators and real magicians, they transform old houses into cozy and comfort places, where every guest is given a very hearty welcome. They are taking care of everything, I don't know how they do it! It was a pleasure for me to be part of their life for a while, I really enjoyed my time. Carroll and Andrea did more for me than I did for them, and they will always hold a place in my heart.

Andre & Carroll had a little bag lunch waiting for me in the refrigerator as I arrived at 12:30am from New York and my name on the door of the room assigned to me the very first night. I thought that very thoughtful, and very kind couple. As it is a "covid-changed" environment, guests self-checked in w/codes, so interaction between guests &volunteering staff is up to you. I tried to be as interactive as possible-making coffee early in the day &once a week wine and cheese events from 7-9 so that I could have cultural chats and learn about the guests important to me.Niagara Falls is beautiful

I had an amazing experience at the hostel. I was there with a friend and it was our first volunteering. Carroll and Andre were really supportive and kind! They explained all the tasks on our first day, but they were always available to help us with any doubts we might have. The hours of working were pretty easy, and they provided us a weekly routine, so volunteers could organize their free time activities in advance. Besides all that, Carroll and Andre really care for their volunteers, from lending clothes to preparing a Saint Patrick's meal, I felt at home from day one!

Such a great experience! Carroll and Andre are amazing hosts, and they did everything to make my volunteering time there a happy one. Besides the patience to teach the tasks (and sometimes teach again), they also noticed that my friend and I didn't have ideal clothes for the snow, so, they lent us warm coats and boots. On Saint Patrick's Day, they also cooked a traditional dinner for us. It was delicious! In the hostel, the weekly volunteer schedules are well organized, and the tasks are easily done. The best part, is meeting the guests and make friends from all over the world!

That was a really great experience with Caroll and Andre. They are really nice people and the tasks were pretty much fair. The guesthouse is very comfortable and there is nothing to complain about. It is worth going especially if you like small cities , but if you are going during winter like me, get ready because it can be really cold up there and it snows a lot.

If you come to Niagara you will have a great time helping here, it is close to the bus as well as the market. The falls are about a 25 min walk around a small town feel sort of place. Carroll and Andre are great hosts. I love that they did not micro manage us. We were given tasks that they wanted done that day mainly cleaning and checking in guests. The hostel is an older home with 4 guest rooms some private rooms some dorms. It is very relaxed and not a party hard place which was great for me to unwind after some long travels.
