Esta ha sido mi segunda estancia en Escocia y elegí el destino porque me encanta la tierra, sus gentes y la naturaleza. Desgraciadamente, he de decir que el anfitrión, Rob, es injusto en cuanto a la repartición de tareas. Para no extenderme mucho, simplemente anotar que hay voluntarios de primera y de segunda clase. Obviamente los de segunda clase vamos a limpiar y los de primera a disfrutar de buenos turnos y privilegios que no voy a relatar aquí. Además, Rob es un mentiroso al que se le pilla rápidamente pero probablemente pensaba que al ser extranjeros no nos enteramos de nada,shame on you

Inma lacks motivation and is very selfish, she struggles to see any goals beyond her own and is unable to work for a bigger cause. She acts only in her own interests and is uninterested in her actions benefitting anyone else.

She had to work as hard as everyone else and complained when nobody else did, then got upset that she didn't get special treatment from her complaining.

I was very reasonable and flexible with Inma but she still continued to complain. She is the only volunteer not to leave us a 5* review so her way of thinking is clearly distorted.

My time at the hostelwas the highlight of my year. Everyone I worked with was incredible and really made it feel like home. The work is easy with a good mix of different shifts and the management is super lovely and understanding. Such a beautiful place, I couldn't recommend it more to others looking for a fun time in the highlands.

The hostelSide was genuinely the best experience I've ever had at athethe hostel. It was so incredibly fun and the people and staff are just amazing. You get to be in one of the most gorgeous places, with mountains and lakes and small quaint towns. You get to spend your days hiking, kayaking, playing pool, cooking and hanging out. The work is explained upfront and incredibly fair. The hours are respected. If I could have stayed longer I would have in a heartbeat! Thank you guys for an amazing stay! :)

I LOVEDthethethe hostel. Genuinely such a beautiful little cozy family. The volunteering experience here is so lovely, you get so close with each other and get to participate in lots of fun events. Rob the manager was awesome! Will miss this place.

The hostelis an amazing experience. Volunteering here is like hanging out with all your mates in a cabin in the woods, but with electricity, hot showers and Tesco delivery. Shifts are relaxed and you will never be bored because volunteers are always around to hang out. Thethethe the hostelis somewhat isolated and transport is limited (you get your groceries through Tesco delivery), so bring a willingness to make your own fun, for example scrapbooking, baking, kayaking on thethe hostel, and rambling through the local bushland. I had so much fun, I don't think there's any place quite like it.

I could write for days! the hostelhas my heart forever! Amazing place amazing people! Rob is an inspiring manager, with amazing stories to share and a heart that fits everyone in! Thethethe the hostelis perfectly located in a serene environment and the atmosphere is always welcoming and you will never get bored! I'll definitely come back! Thank you for everything

Rob and everyone at the hostelwere absolutely amazing and I had the best time working there! We extended our stay an extra 2 weeks and this was no problem for them! The work was easy and the hours very reasonable and I would highly recommend to anyone!!

Rob and the gang were so welcoming, it was like one big family or a school summer camp. You never feel like you are working hard, honestly the dreamthethe the hostelexperience. Whilst I was here I could hike, swim, run and always be apart of a social event or gathering. Out of all the hostels Ive worked in this was the best!!

The hostelwas such a cool experience! Thethethe the hostelis in a gorgeous remote location with some stunning hikes and small towns nearby to explore on your days off. The shifts were exactly as I expected, the work is often more independent which worked well for me but there is always a helping hand available. I was there during Rob's first week as manager but you would have thought he'd been there for years! Such a caring and supportive manager and the weekly ceilidhs he runs were the highlight of my stay. This place attracts the best volunteers and I had such an incredible time with everyone!

The BEST three weeks ever! The other volunteers were amazing, thethethe the hostelis so cozy, and there's always someone around or an event to host/ participate in. Since it's pretty isolated I found it much easier to get to know guests and find people to do activities with which was really nice. Management was transitioning while I was there so it could sometimes be a little unorganized but the tasks were very manageable. Swimming and kayaking in thethe hostel, cooking, karaoke, pool tournaments, etc THANK YOU for everything!
