My experience at the hostel was great; i stayed for over moren than two months. Tasks at night shift 1 were simple and the schedule respected. The location in Santa Teresa was beautiful just keep in minf you'll have to take uber regularly :) The space is wonderful, green and quiet also the pool and the breakfast. The volunteers room need some improvements but they were already making changes before I left. I was able to make great comnections with people there and enjoy Rio in a relaxed way. They were also flexible with my travel dates which I really appreciated. Thank you for everything!!

My experience was so wonderful! I ended up spending almost two months at the hostel because I felt so at home and the people ,managers and also the location were just the best. We worked together as a team. I felt the managers trust and communicate with the volunteers in such good manners (I can appreciate this in particular because I've had bad experiences in the past with different hosts). I would recommend the volunteering experience 100%.

I had a humanitarian realization in the heart of Rio, in Santa Teresa. Living in Rio de Janeiro has been transformative, one path that awakened my innate humanitarian spirit. In the midst of Rio's lively streets and serene beaches, I encounted countless stories of resilience, compassion, forgiveness, rooted in the belief that we are all interconnected. Under the arms of Christ the Redeemer, I found a renewed sense of purpose. Thank you for everything. It was 6 months lifechanging volunteer program. Do yourself a favor, apply to volunteer in the Castle of the hostel!

Minha experiência no hostel foi, em sua imensa maioria, profunda, humana e enriquecedora. Fui muito bem recebido, respeitado, acolhido e trabalhei com consciência, entrega e paixão, construindo laços que levarei para a vida. Agradeço especialmente ao Santiago, um dos melhores seres humanos que conheci, e aos amigos que o hostel me deu. Retiro uma estrela pelo desfecho triste e evitável: Diante de algumas injustiças, precisei me posicionar e encerrar minha jornada antes do previsto. Que essa pequena maçã podre um dia fertilize consciência e cuidado com quem faz tanta diferença ali. Sucesso!💛

I had a really great time at the hostel. I truly enjoyed the work, and the schedule was quite flexible. All the other volunteers were amazing and I'm very grateful for all the wonderful people I met during my time there. The castle itself is beautiful which made the experience even more special. The only downside was the management. At times it could be quite chaotic, and communication was often lacking. Several people were asked to leave without any apparent reason and without having a prior conversation. Despite this, I'm still very grateful for everything I experienced and learned at the hostel.

A experiência no hostel foi tranquila, o trabalho não é exploratório, tem outros voluntários e uma boa socialização. O hostel é novo, então muita coisa ainda está sendo organizada, a localização apesar de ser em Santa Teresa não é muito boa, mas o hostel em si é lindo. Recomendo.

Estadia ótima e fiz grandes amizades! Local grande e acolhedor! Os demais voluntários foram incríveis, as atividades de modo geral são tranquilas. Essa com certeza foi uma das melhores experiências da minha vida. Contras: 1 - Às atividades as vezes são distribuídas de maneira desproporcional por turno, mudanças no seu shift apenas serem informadas no último momento, por exemplo. 2 - A administração não brasileira trás uma diferença grande na maneira de conduzir as coisas, principalmente na comunicação. 95 95% doa guests são estrangeiros, talvez por isso a comunicação BR não seja aplicada.
