Happiness is a centrally-located and service-oriented hostel, with a primarily international crowd between mid-20s to mid-30s. We cater to the more mature traveler by offering daily activities that don't require alcohol as the only means of sociability. We also acknowledge that a couple times per week, it's fun to let loose! We are looking for an enthusiastic person to help lead these activities to encourage participation and sociability.

Programa detallado

We offer a free dorm bed and one meal per day in exchange for your help to give our guests a comfortable and exciting experience during their stay with us. We ask for your assistance to help improve guest participation in the activities as well as encouraging sociability by engaging with guests throughout the day/evening and creating new connections. It may be important to note that we only accept one volunteer at a time, so we are looking for someone to work directly with the staff and management as an extension of our team.

Actividades & Turnos

You would be asked to work five days per week, approximately 6hrs per shift (some days requiring much less than that, some requiring slightly more.) The activities that we currently run every week are: movie night, bingo/games night, trivia night, "The Happiness Hop" (a hidden-gems pub crawl/walking tour featuring DJ sets, live music, craft beer, and more), as well as our Filipino Night (a cultural evening where we host cheap local meals and alcoholic beverages in the hostel lounge while playing local drinking games or otherwise). We also have an in-house restaurant which hosts DJ sets on the same evenings as the Happiness Hop and Filipino night in hopes of encouraging guests to join the festivities in the restaurant during these more alcohol-infused evenings.
