I really enjoyed my time at the hostel, they truly became like my second family and I ended up staying for 2 months. I started working as a waitress in their restaurant and was then moved to the bar. I had no experience in bartending before but it was no problem, they are very flexible and if you want to try something new/different just speak with Medellin and she will do everything in her power to help you. The bar and the restaurant can get really busy so be prepared. Peten is a magical place and you have so much to explore, I couldn't recommend this place more ❤️

I had an incredible and lovely experience in the hostel. All people who work there was so lovely and kindness. Flores is a lovely island and I could knew many places with the work team and the others volunteers. Medellín, the manager is a sweet and lovely person who always ask how I was going. Mathias one of the owner is also a great human with a big heart. The work in the restaurant was busy but the guests was lovely and patient, so It was a good opportunity to practice my Spanish. The breakfast was amazing.

I spent 3 weeks volunteering in the hostel. I was in charge of serving meals, taking orders, receiving payments and taking care of restaurant's space. I worked in morning shifts 8am-1pm 5days a week. Staff is mostly Spanish speaking but it's not a problem if you're not fluent - they are very patient with you. Managers who are in charge of volunteers are always ready to help you and also owners of this place take care of volunteers (you will not meet more helpful person than Jeronimo!) You don't feel like coworkers, you feel like family members! Thank you for unforgettable experience! <3

Good experience! I learnt how to bartender, I made such a good relationship with the other volunteers, vibes between us were cool. The hostel is nice but the room wasn't that nice which made it complicated to rest after a whole night working at the night lounge. They are fixing it tho. You have two meals, breakfast from the menu and dinner from the team food which is good but not too much. Overall was a good experience but wasn't the best match for me. However I keep a good memory of it.
