Programa detallado

We expect our volunteers to arrive with a positive attitude, a strong work ethic, and a genuine passion for wildlife conservation. Volunteers should be willing to help where needed, follow sanctuary guidelines, work as part of a team, and respect the animals, staff, and local environment. Reliability, openness to learning, and flexibility are essential, as no two days at the sanctuary are the same.

In return, volunteers can expect a well-structured, supportive, and enriching experience. We provide comfortable accommodation, daily cleaning and laundry, high-quality meals, hands-on conservation work, learning opportunities, and a safe, welcoming community. Most importantly, volunteers can expect transparency, guidance, and the knowledge that their time, effort, and fees directly contribute to the care, protection, and future of the sanctuary and its animals.

Actividades & Turnos

Daily Activities Checklist:
Volunteers assist with daily animal care and sanctuary operations, which may include preparing and distributing food, cleaning enclosures, maintaining habitats, assisting with enrichment activities, and supporting general upkeep of the sanctuary. Additional tasks can include monitoring animal behavior, helping with conservation projects, welcoming guests, and participating in educational or outreach activities as scheduled. Tasks rotate to ensure a varied, hands-on experience while prioritizing animal welfare at all times.

Shift Structure:
The day is divided into two main shifts. The morning shift focuses on animal feeding, enclosure cleaning, and essential care tasks, starting early to align with the animals’ routines. The afternoon shift includes maintenance work, enrichment activities, conservation projects, and off-site or educational activities. Evenings are generally free, with optional cooking classes, group dinners, and community time, allowing volunteers to rest, reflect, and connect with others.

Reglas

All Worldpackers are expected to respect the animals, staff, fellow volunteers, and the sanctuary at all times. Strict safety rules must be followed, including no unauthorized contact with animals and no alcohol or drugs during work hours. Punctuality, cleanliness, and responsible use of facilities are essential, and we ask everyone to maintain a positive, respectful attitude and treat Ubuntu Wildlife Sanctuary as both a workplace and a shared home.
