La experiencia

“Wilujeng Sumping” means ‘welcome’ in Sundanese. This position offers a simple cultural exchange experience in a rural mountain village in West Bogor, Indonesia. Volunteers join daily village life, practice English through casual conversations, and connect with the local community. Help is light and flexible, around 3–4 hours a day, leaving plenty of time to relax and enjoy slow village living.

Programa detallado

This volunteer program is a cultural exchange experience based in a rural mountain village in West Bogor, Indonesia. It is designed to create meaningful interaction between international volunteers and the local community through daily life activities and informal English practice.
Volunteers are not expected to be professional teachers or skilled workers. Instead, the focus is on sharing time, stories, and simple activities together while experiencing village life in a relaxed and respectful way. Accommodation is provided in a simple village house. This program values openness, mutual respect, and slow living.


Actividades & Turnos

Volunteers usually help around 3–4 hours per day, with 3 days off per week. Activities are light, flexible, and adapted to daily village routines.
Typical activities may include:
- Practicing English through casual conversations with locals
- Joining community activities or informal learning sessions
- Spending time with children or youth in a friendly, non-formal way
- Supporting small cultural or community initiatives when needed
There is no strict schedule. Activities are planned together based on community needs, weather, and mutual agreement. Outside helping hours, volunteers are free to rest, explore the village, or enjoy the surrounding nature.
