The experience was truly amazing! The whole team is kind, welcoming, and always available if needed. I spent three incredible weeks at the hostel Hotel, discovering so many things and meeting wonderful people. I highly recommend making a stop there!

I've spent one of the best summers of my life working at the hostel, largely thanks to the wonderful people I've got to meet and the connections we've formed during our time together. Takayama itself is a super nice town to live in and the staff apartment we were housed in was a nice accommodation, after some little modifications we did with the managers. The work is doable, but the workload changes from one branch to the other. In any case, the managers and members of the staff are always there to help with any problems the volunteers could have. If I could go back there again, I would.

I appreciated the team & community spirit very much. All was well organised. Shifts were as accorded and they left lot of time to experience the local culture and visit nearby areas.

This was my first time travelling with worldpackers and I must admit it was overall a great experience! The working hours are respected and it is not too hard, the hostel team is open to working on accomodating the days off as best as possible and the atmosphere is very international (almost all the stuff is made up of international people). The town is small but authentic!

I had a great time at the hostel's kitchen! Daniel and Luke the managers were super nice, and Ratree the chef was 100/100!! I learnt new Thai recipes and enjoyed my time working. Takayama is a nice little town and wonderful if you want a break from traveling want want to rest a little

Stuff is very nice and helpfull. The tasks were simple and straightforward. I liked my time there, i relaxed and slowed my pace for 2 weeks. Volunteers are nice as well and lunch and dinner together is a great opportunity for nice conversations :))

Hotel the hostel was an incredible stay meeting such vibrant people. Staff were very accomodating and easy to communicate with. The cooks were amazing at providing lunch and dinner options everyday which made it a great way to come together with all the other staff. Tasks were straight forward and we were well equiped with whats needed to get the job done.

My partner and I volunteered for two weeks cleaning and had a great experience. The operation was well-organized with clear instructions and helpful apps for communication. The staff were friendly and always available to help. We enjoyed free meals, laundry, and plenty of free time to explore the beautiful city of Takayama. Work was easy but varied by branch as some branches seemed more time consuming to clean than others. Overall, a positive and smooth experience!
