Programa detallado

This volunteer program is based on cultural exchange, learning, and collaboration. Volunteers work alongside Idd, a local agricultural officer, and support community-led projects focused on sustainable farming, food security, and village wellbeing.

Volunteers are not here to “save” or lead, but to learn from local knowledge, support existing initiatives, and contribute with curiosity and respect. In return, volunteers are welcomed into daily village life, shared meals, and meaningful relationships.

Actividades & Turnos

Volunteers help around 3-4 hours per day, usually in the mornings, with weekends or days off flexible and agreed together.

Activities may include farm work (planting, harvesting, field maintenance), visiting farmers with Idd, supporting community or women’s group activities, light construction support, or helping with ongoing village projects.

Afternoons are usually free for rest, walking, learning Swahili, spending time with the family, or visiting nearby towns.

Reglas

We ask volunteers to be respectful of local culture, community norms, and family life. This includes dressing modestly, communicating openly, and being flexible with village schedules.

Volunteers should be open-minded, patient, and comfortable with rural living. Alcohol and drug use should be respectful and low-key.

Volunteers have a private room and private bathroom in a guest lodge located just steps from the family home. Meals and shared time take place in the main house, where volunteers are welcome to join family life in common spaces.

This experience is based on trust, kindness, and mutual respect.
