In this ongoing project, we aim to conserve the endemic Indigofera tintoria plant to prevent its extinction.
Indigofera tintoria is believed to have been used during the golden age of the Egyptian Pharaohs, as evidenced by the discovery of cloth in burial areas which is strongly suspected of using the natural blue dye plant Indigofera tintoria.
As a producer of a deep blue dye, Indigofera tintoria was widely used by our ancestors to naturally dye fabrics. This natural dyeing technique for weaving and batik has been practiced since ancient times in Indonesia.
We want to revive this natural dyeing technique so that batik artisans can use Indigofera tintoria leaves as a base for natural dyes. Batik adalah warisan budaya takbenda yang daikui UNESCO.
It's time for us to return to nature, to maintain the health of the earth and preserve biodiversity.
Come help us establish endemic plant conservation in Serang Village, Blitar. A village where you can do many good things for nature, such as reforestation and maintaining mangrove conservation. Here, you can see the beautiful sunrise and sunset every day, hear the sound of the waves, swim in the river beneath the trees, and if you're lucky, you might even release baby sea turtles.
We are located in a tourist area, Serang Beach, Blitar. We are in a turtle and mangrove conservation area.
We need you. Come join us in this sustainability project. I'm waiting for you.
