What an amazing experience! They are extremely welcoming and kind people. Working there had a lot of variation from picking berries, helping in the kitching, walking with the dogs, till working on fences. I met with other volunteers all over the world. Most of the time, we were together doing tasks, but also in our spare time, we would hang out at the nearby lake or play board games. Combining the diverese taks and doing other fun things in the spare time, makes this experience actual amazing. Thank you so much for everything!

Dear Roos,
Roos helped us several weeks with al kinds of different tasks, not only practical (garden, kitchen, moving things) but even with keeping an eye on two children (8 & 10) and keeping them busy with activities. And, oh yes, with loving dogs and taking them out on long promenades.
We experienced her as one of our best and most positive volunteers during al these years. Thank you again Roos and good luck in the future....you will succeed, no doubt!

The time with Fridus and Roswhita was incredibly beautiful!!🤗 They are such kind-hearted people with such big hearts. It was really fun helping them prepare for their big flea market. There was always something to laugh about, and no matter how stressful it got at times, there was always mutual respect 😇 The experience as a Worldpacker with Fridus and Roswhita was absolutely worth it, and I would recommend it to anyone who wants to take a break from the stress of everyday life. Thank you for letting me stay with you!☺️

Thank you, Roswitha and Fridus, for welcoming me with open arms!🔅 I arrived during a very exciting time, there was a big celebration to be prepared. I was trusted with a big variety of tasks. From squeezing orange juice (looots of oranges) to riding on the tractor shovel! Fridus always has lots of exciting stories to tell, and Roswitha is a warm-hearted woman and an impressive artist. The time ended with the big Easter celebration where we could see our work paying off! I wish you all tall the best for your well deserved retirement! And if you're ever in Bavaria, you are more than welcome!

This experience with Roswitha and Fridus was really rewarding. I loved looking after the dogs, all four of whom are adorable. I learnt a lot about organising a kitchen and a team and I'm happy to be going home with a lot of new recipes. I really loved cooking and preparing for the guests. Despite working hours that exceeded the quota of 5 hours a day, I learnt a lot from this experience. If you're looking for peace and quiet and contact with nature, I really recommend it. I wish Roswitha and Fridus all the best for the future. We were honoured to do the last JulBoard with you. Tack så mycket

An unexpected experience after reading comments as I was one of the first volunteers after the restaurant closed. Working hours and days off weren't set from the start and tasks became repetitive, packing and unpacking as the hosts were moving, and walking the dogs, even on days off, which made it difficult to fully rest. There was confusion with our leaving date, which forced us to leave early, at greater expense. We did enjoy lovely dinners cooked by Roswitha, who also introduced us to some Swedish traditions. I am grateful for the experience, and thankful for what I learnt.

A mixed experience, slightly disappointing, however we visited during a challenging time, helping them move house. Jobs were varied, accommodation was decent, dinners were provided and were tasty, breakfast and lunch we made ourselves, but often from a limited selection of foods. I never felt totally at home, and the hosts were often quite pedantic about how things were done. Working hours and days off weren't structured which meant we couldn't plan ahead, and activities on days off were limited. The dogs were often a challenge as they were untrained. Still, I am thankful for the opportunity.
