Living in such an environment is entirely new and outside my comfort zone, but every member of the staff at this hostel made me feel right at home. It's a great place to socialize and connect with people from different parts of the world, and the job doesn't feel taxing at all. They are very considerate of your needs and make sure you are well taken care of as a visitor. I also felt that I owed it to them to do my best at the job. Will come back if I do get another chance. Couldn't ask for a better first Worldpackers experience! :)

This hostel is a gem, blending Japanese and Thai vibes with top-notch hospitality. The volunteers are warm, the two bars are lively, and the Japanese cafe and bakery are a treat. Cozy rooms and a great community. highly recommend! I even made some social media content for them. Thanks to Bee , Mae . Ken for the hospitality .

I had such a great time at the hostel! The team is simply the best, kind-hearted, caring, and so much fun. They welcomed me right away and made me feel at home in no time, which made the whole experience outstanding. The work itself is fairly easy and a great chance to meet other travelers. Most of the time it didn't even feel like work at all. The schedule is clearly communicated well in advance, but also flexible if you need any adjustments. I'm really grateful for my time here and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a meaningful and fun volunteering experience

I highly recommend this volunteering experience! I met such kind local people, everyone was very friendly, and the tasks and schedules were easy and flexible. Everything was always open to conversation, and I had a really great time there.

It was a great experience. The location is very close to Bangkok's most iconic attractions. The staff is friendly and the facilities are nice. It was fun to participate and help with their various events and activities. Thank you for this nice opportunity. :)

A Place of love and genuine conections. I want to leave a special thank you to Beebee, May, Theresa and Tho, for making me feel like home, I'll always have you in my heart. The work is easy and practical, you have time and flexibility to really know Bangkok and meet a lot of travelers and local ppl. I'll be defenetly returning soon to my second home in asia. I love you all ❤️

The hostel is the best!!! The staff is welcoming and friendly, the bar space is amazing for relaxing and meeting people, and the location is unbeatable with so many food spots (and Khao San 😂). The hours are well respected, and the accommodation is kept very clean. The bar work is easy to learn and get the hang of, so don't be worried if you don't have previous experience. The center area has a Japanese restaurant and burger store (and now adding a bakery) that we have a discount for! What I'll miss the most are the memories with all the staff and other volunteers I worked with :).

Volunteering at Areahostel81 was the highlight of my trip. Everything promised was delivered. I even tried yoga and fell in love with it. The place is very homie the staff/managers are very kind and my co-volunteers? Pure gold. I left with lifelong friends and a full heart :)

Such a lovely experience! I felt welcomed from the very beginning. It quickly became more than just volunteering; it felt like being part of a wholesome gang squad. I'm so grateful for the memories, the laughter, and all the warmth. The other volunteers made my stay even more special, I couldn't even feel like I was working.
