Ese voluntariado realmente fue increíble. Kayo fue super acogedor y atento a que me siente cómoda. El trabajo de ir a vender los postres se puede sentir un poco lento a veces, pero está simple y se puede conocer personas super buena onda. Los horarios siempre fueron cumplidos y Kayo intenta acomodarlos si se puede para que vayas a surfear. Estoy super agradecida a Elo y Kayo por haber compartido su casa conmigo esas 2 semanas. Puemape realmente es un lugar magico y no te vas a querer ir mas de ahi.

Una experencia muy unica y tranquila, gracias a Elodie y Kallosha para permitirme quedarme en hermosa Puemape. La naturaleza y el mar estan muy lindos, y el trabajo es interesante (algunas veces lenta), pero estas caminando por lados muy lindos y por eso vale toda la pena. Aprendi mucha de la vida de la costa de Peru, y tambien comi mucho ceviche (y postres) ricos!

Sin duda recomendaria el proyecto si te gusta estar tranquilo/a en la playa. El pueblo es curioso, no hay casi nadie ni casi ningun restaurante. Gracias kayo por hacer una excepción conimgo y dejarme estar menos de dos semanas. Me ha encantado terminar mi viaje en tu casa. Tu manera de ver la vida y todo lo que haces me ha inspirado muchisimo. Eres una gran persona. Solo estoy agradecida :)

No words can describe how it felt to be part of this wonderful project. Puemape is a wonderful place for developing your surf skills, your social skills and learning a lot about yourself. Kayosha was a great host and a great friend, with who we shared a lot of nice moments and memories with. Also the work has been a great opportunity to improve social skills, we had a good time connecting with different local people but also international travelers. It helped us a lot to get new perspectives about life and in the end it felt like leaving a second home. a lot of love, fanni and teresa :)

Home away from home! Puemape is such a special place, and it felt very meaningful to have a part in local conservation through Kayosha's project. Kayo's also a very talented and passionate surf instructor, and my surfing improved so much while staying there. I'll miss taking walks through the desert with his dogs, Kala and Mecanico. It was cool to see how Kayosha makes everything from scratch and is committed to a no-waste kitchen; and all the desserts are delicious:) The rooms were super cozy and clean, Kayosha is a wonderful host and it was great to make memories with other travellers there

This was my first experience as a volunteer and I couldn't be happier. I felt very welcome right from the start. Kayosha was super nice, the tasks were fun and varied, and he was also flexible with the working hours so I could go surfing when the waves were good! I enjoyed baking cakes the most. His recipes are delicious and the kitchen is well equipped. I also learned a lot about sustainability and other aspects of life. The conversations with him were very interesting and I learned a lot for life. Thank you for everything, Kayosha!

Just an amazing month here. I highly recommend this volunteering experience to improve environmental knowledge, meet with Peruvian people, and help Kayosha in his project. Shared great discussions about life, books, sports and backpacking and really felt at home away from home. If you're looking to improve or test urself in any way possible, this the right place !

Amazing experience with Kayo and Elo. Really nice people with an interesting philosophy of life. I learnt a lot of things and they taught me to surf. Puemape is a very good place where you can stay chill and surf all time without too many people in the water. Often you can practice alone. The volunteer gave me the opportunity to practice my Spanish, meet the locals and know their culture.

Volunteering at the project was a great experience. My job was to sell homemade cakes at the beach twice a day, and the working hours were always respected, leaving plenty of time to surf. I wasn't very good at surfing when I arrived, but with so much time in the water, I definitely made progress. The atmosphere was super relaxed, and the people were kind and welcoming. The town itself is very quiet, which was exactly what I was looking for. There's not much around, but that made it super chill.

I spent one month volunteering in Puemape and was an amazing experience for me! Puemape is a remote place surrounded by the desert with a magic vibe, it's perfect to desconnect and at the same time reconnect with the nature. The waves are very good and i could surf everyday. I was very happy to help Kayosha with his project by selling the cakes at the beach, i could learn new skills and improve my spanish. Gracias por todo :)
