Programa detallado

The Childhood Volunteer Instructor Program is implemented by YEDA to strengthen early childhood learning, protection, and psychosocial well-being within the community. The program engages qualified and motivated volunteers to support children’s holistic development through structured, age-appropriate, and play-based learning activities in a safe and inclusive environment.

Volunteers work under the supervision of YEDA program staff and in coordination with community leaders, caregivers, and partner institutions. Their responsibilities include facilitating early learning sessions, organizing creative and recreational activities, supporting children’s emotional and social development, and promoting positive behavior and child protection principles. Volunteers also assist in identifying children who may require additional psychosocial or referral support and report concerns to the program supervisor.

The program operates on a structured schedule, with volunteers assigned specific days and hours based on community needs and YEDA’s operational plan. Prior to deployment, volunteers receive orientation on YEDA’s mission, safeguarding policies, child-centered teaching approaches, and basic psychosocial support techniques. Ongoing mentoring, supervision, and periodic review meetings ensure quality service delivery and continuous improvement.

Through this program, YEDA aims to improve school readiness, emotional resilience, and social skills among children, while empowering volunteers with practical experience, skills development, and a strong sense of community service. The program contributes to creating a nurturing learning environment that supports children’s rights, dignity, and long-term well-being.
