A wonderful experience with the best Nepali family I could have found. From minute 0 I felt at home, and they truly have been, and still are, family to me. the farm is the most dedicated, hardworking, committed, sensitive, and cheerful person in the world. Whatever he does, he always has a smile on his face. I truly admire everything he does and the passion he puts into traditions and into everything he undertakes. His family, as could not be otherwise, is also very warm and wonderful. Hillary, Babu, Didi and all of them are in my heart. I totally recommend becoming part of the farm❤️‍🩹

Stayed 2 weeks with this wonderful family and plan on going back for Christmas as it feels like home! Such a beautiful place to spend time in Nepal, the village is wonderful, family is warm welcoming and very funny and the kids at the school are very sweet. I was mostly doing teaching, which proved to be quite challenging but overall a great experience and farm work, very nice being close to the food source. Couldn't reccommend it enough. Good chicken 🐓 Babu is hilarious 🫶 Thankyou to the whole family!

I spent some days at the farm and it was a really special experience. From the first moment they welcomed me like part of the family, always checking if I was feeling well, enjoying the work and if I had any questions. The tasks were explained with patience, and I always felt included in the daily life of the house. What I liked the most was how authentic it felt, sharing simple moments, talking about life in Nepal and learning about their way of farming and living. If you want to immerse yourself in the local culture i would recommend staying on the farm. the family are so kind and welcoming- you can feel that the house is full of love. there is a real community here. volunteering at the primary school was very eye-opening, i work in education at home but this wasn't like anything i've done before. you will have a class to yourself but with only very small amount of children, you are asked to teach english, maths and science and i would recommend also bringing your own fun activities in addition for the kids:) be openminded. thank you the farm💛

Everyone at the farm was very welcoming! Most of the days the work is nice and not too long. Some days can be longer and harder, but then you get a rest day the day after. Location was also really great: in nature and very quiet, but close to Pokhara (and a good bus connection!). The family is really great, I will miss being there! I also went on a trek with the farm and another volunteer, which was really great!

I highly recommend the farm's farm! I stayed for 3 weeks and it was an insightful, fun and rewarding experience. The whole family was warm and welcoming and really made it feel like home. The work was very enjoyable and different everyday, only taking a couple of hours. I helped with the rice harvest, dug a new terrace, and planted new crops among many other tasks. The house was comfortable and had an incredible view of the sunrise and hot air balloons in the morning. If you're looking for an authentic experience and insight into subsistence farming in Nepal, look no further!

Had a wonderful time at the farm! Family very welcoming and friendly, learned a lot about permaculture and sustainability and living a fresh, organic life. Would highly recommend to people who want to connect with nature, live like the locals and eat lots of Dahl batt!

This volunteering was a true experience of home away from home <3 I loved staying there, all family members are super cute, they are immersing you in the local culture and in the family, so you really do not feel excluded <3 I felt so welcomed and it warms my heart remembering it... Everyone is smiling all the time, trying to give you the best experience possible. I really appreciate staying with the farm and his family and during the stay I became a nepalese too haha. We had a festival and they did tikas to all volunteers and the whole family were sooo friendly and warm with us! BEST!

I had a great time at the farm's farm. It started off a bit hectic as I arrived the same day as the festival - Tihar - but the family welcomed me in straight away. Laxmi's cooking was incredible, and the children were so lovely to play with and do homework with. The farm work was tough but rewarding and very accommodating to what we wanted to do. I learned so much whilst being here about Nepali culture and village life - milking a buffalo, growing vegetables in the fields, even a bit of Nepali! And the location is so beautiful - truly a paradise of mountains, jungle and rice fields! Will return:)

One of the most memorable and enjoyable experiences I've ever had travelling. I really wish I had the time to stay longer than two weeks! I could write endlessly about how genuinely lovely the entire family is, and all of the brilliant moments. These are just a few highlights: - Cutting grass on a peaceful, sunny evening - Laxmi's incredible cooking (honestly unreal!!) - Meeting and bonding with members of extended family - Savouring the stormy evenings inside with the new puppy Kanchi - Shankar's exceptional hosting skills Would highly recommend to experience true Nepali culture
