It was one of the most incredible experiences, without a doubt one of the best I've ever had. Wonderful people, a fantastic place—being able to live and experience these kinds of things fills your heart. At Global Beach Hostel, you feel at home from the very first moment. I'm completely grateful to each and every person at Global, especially Mike, for opening his home to me and allowing people to learn a little more about this wonderful country. 100% recommended.

It was a really enriching experience, full of learning and great connections. The tasks are simple and easy to do, and everyone on the team is super friendly, including the owner, Mike. The hostel offers breakfast, free parties, tours and many more ;) . I'd definitely recommend Global Beach Hostel to anyone looking for a great location, a positive vibe, and an easygoing volunteering experience.

I really enjoyed my stay at Global Beach Hostel, the tasks are not complicated and all the staff is very friendly including the owner Mike. You get free breakfast, free tours, free scooter and a lot of complimentary things. Definitely a good place to volunteer, just finish your tasks and you won't have any problem. I thank to all the people I got to know here, I surely comeback to say Hi soon :)

This was my first volunteer experience and it was extremely disappointing. Mike regularly yelled at volunteers, made false accusations of stealing, and created a hostile environment. Volunteers work far more than the advertised four hours, as the host is rarely present. After two weeks, I was abruptly removed from the hostel via WhatsApp and kicked out without proper communication. There were also serious privacy concerns that made me feel unsafe, especially as a woman. I strongly caution others before accepting this placement.

Her statements are baseless and frankly absurd. There is clear video evidence showing the theft, which has been handed over to immigration authorities. As a result, any future entry into the country is no longer possible.

Great place to volunteer! Mike and his wife are super friendly and really make sure you're having a good time. The hostel's location is great as well, and they offer tours you can join for free if you're volunteering. All in all, I'd definitely recommend Global Beach Hostel!

I would never recommend this host, as he was dishonest and manipulative. Before starting the volunteer program, we had agreed that my days off would be Mondays and Saturdays. After two weeks, he told me to leave because I wasn't volunteering on a Saturday , even though it was my confirmed day off, as shown in our Wordpackers messages. He later said he had changed his mind and that volunteers shouldn't have days off at all. When I requested Wordpackers insurance, I had to prove I had been volunteering because he falsely claimed I never showed up.
