Stay for a week or a month or a lifetime depending on the fit!

We are creating sanctuary in the desert - a place to escape from the influences & insanity of the world - and there's work to do!

We are off-grid, on a hectare of permaculture farmland. It's beautiful, but wild living. Other creatures live here too, birds & bugs & cats & all.

We are half way between the little town of El Pescadero & the beach - each are about a half hour walk away.

Was Sie anbieten

20 Stunden Hilfe pro Woche

Reinigung: Hilfe bei der Reinigung von Küche, Schlafzimmern, Badezimmern und Gemeinschaftsbereichen.

Bauen & Reparieren: Hilf bei verschiedenen Reparatur- oder Bauarbeiten.

Landwirtschaft: Pflanze Feldfrüchte, säe Samen und hilf bei Außenarbeiten.

Gartenarbeit: Hilf beim Pflanzenanbau und der Gartenpflege

Was Sie bekommen

2 freie Tage pro Woche

Gemeinschaftszimmer: Du bekommst ein Bett in einem Gemeinschaftszimmer, was bedeutet, dass du dir den Raum mit anderen Reisenden teilst.

Camping: Du wirst in einem Zelt auf einem Campingplatz schlafen.

Frühstück: Du hast Anspruch auf ein kostenloses Frühstück an jedem Tag deines Aufenthalts.

Programmdetails

It's a wild farm. It's on its way to becoming a forest (syntropic agroforestry) but still going through it's awkward teen phase, transitioning from plowed field to a no-till permaculture landscape. That means there is lots to manage - mostly weeding and mulching and general landscape maintenance.

There are also a couple of rental cabins which need to be cleaned and made up regularly, and there are numerous on-going green-building projects - all depending on your skills, your preferences, and the current needs of the overall project.

Aktivitäten & Schichten

If you enjoy peace and solitude, if you are a self contained, if you are a problem solver - then you will fit in well. We may be busy with any number of projects, so you should be happy working on your own if necessary. Are you ok with that!?

Tasks may include

🌿 Syntropic farming: pruning, mulching, composting.
🏡 Housekeeping: preparing and maintaining cabins for guests.
🪵 Eco-construction: assisting in green building and creative projects.
💧 Irrigation & maintenance: helping systems run smoothly.
🎨 Landscaping & gardening: creating harmony with nature.

20 hours of work per week by arrangement. You can do 5 x 4 hour days, or 2.5 x 8 hour days for example.
