We are seeking enthusiastic volunteers with previous café, barista, or hospitality experience to join our team at the Backpackers in Paradise Café. This is a hands-on role where you will help create a welcoming and vibrant atmosphere for our guests while gaining valuable experience in a busy hostel café setting.

Programmdetails

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and cook food items on the grill, fryers, and other kitchen equipment.

Assist with food preparation (salads, snacks, light meals, etc.).

Prepare and serve hot and cold beverages (coffee, tea, smoothies, soft drinks).

Operate café equipment including espresso machine, grinder, and blender.

Maintain high standards of cleanliness in the café and kitchen areas.

Provide friendly and efficient service to hostel guests.

Assist with stock rotation, basic cleaning, and general café organization.

Skills & Experience:

Previous café, barista, or hospitality experience required.

Must have basic cooking skills, with experience using grill, fryers, and food preparation equipment.

Knowledge of safe food handling and hygiene standards.

Ability to work independently and in a team.

Good communication and customer service skills.

Reliable, punctual, and able to follow instructions.
