Programmdetails

We are looking for volunteers to help with renovation of our house (into a cafe/residence space)
For days where you work the full 6 hours, breakfast, lunch and dinner will be provided. If there are no tasks for the renovation, we may ask you to only work 3 hours. In this case, only breakfast and lunch will be provided.
For your days off, please organise your own meals.

Renovation will begin in November 2025 and hoping to end in March. Minimum stay is 1 month, if you can stay longer then that's even better!

Bedroom for volunteers:
Bed in mixed or female dorm (in hostel, located next door)
Living room, kitchen, bathroom and shower are shared with other guests.
*guests have priority over use of above, so you are welcome to use our house (we live right next to the hostel!)

We have guests from all over the world come and stay at the hostel, so you can learn about different cultures from other guests. We are also happy to share our experiences living in Japan, teach you about Japanese customs/traditions, as well as some of the Japanese language!

Aktivitäten & Schichten

Main duties for this position will include:
① Helping out with renovation
② Cleaning of hostel on busy days

Volunteers helping with renovation will be required to work 6 hours per day.
We are flexible with the working days/working hours so please discuss with us if you would like to take certain days off.
General working hours will be from 9:00-12:00, 13:00-16:00. On days where you will be cleaning the hostel, you will work 10:00-13:00 only.

A minimum stay of 1 month is preferred.
