Esta experiencia fue súper buena, ya que la familia y Wendy que trabaja con ellos son muy queridos, respetuosos y amorosos, son una familia con la que uno se puede comunicar y respetan todas las sugerencias que uno tiene. Son muy divertidos y hacen que la estadía sea placentera, y uno quiera volver, lastima que fueron solo 3 semanas! Cumplieron todas mis expectativas que yo tenia sobre la estadia!

We loved this experience. We were living remotely in a province called Perez Zeledon in a beautiful house with the other volunteers. The house is surrounded by plantations with all kind of fruits (mostly bananas and coffee). We planted avocado trees, yuka and sugar cane. There is a little river running by the property and we really enjoyed taking a dip in the natural pools. Other tasks consisted of some handyman work like building some furniture for ourselves or a compost. The Ramirez family is extremely nice and welcoming and their vision is beautiful. Would highly recommend this stay!

El lugar es una maravilla, la casa está mucho mejor de lo que esperaba, he aprendido muchas cosas nuevas pero lo mejor ha sido la convivencia, el trabajo y la diversión con los otros voluntarios, Giani, kim, David and Zach. inolvidables

En esta experiencia, me encontré con un proyecto en desarrollo que me enamoré y una familia que se convertió en un segundo hogar para mí, (y cuento los meses para abrazarlos fuerte de nuevo!) Tanto en fines de semana como durante la semana, me encontré acompañada, y pude conocer la cultura y el país. Imposible aburrirte y pasarla mal con ellos. Son todo lo que está bien! Son flexibles, buenas personas y con hermosos valores. Realmente me llevó una experiencia maravillosa y amigos de oro! Agradecida eternamente por esta posibilidad! Les deseo lo mejor, y acá estaré siempre para ustedes!

The Ramirez family is absolutely amazing. As soon as we arrived at their house we immediately felt at home and welcome. They were very good at translating for us because we are learning Spanish. The entire family is so outgoing! The house is only about 15 meters from the house from the farm and both are beautiful, the work is very light and fun! The locals are amazing! It starts raining around 1PM everyday so get out there early! Around by 5 or 6. I would recommend this experience to anyone who wants to connect with green, beautiful nature. I plan on returning to this experience in the future

Overall amazing people and an amazing experience. All family members went above and beyond to be helpful and make us feel at home. They were very flexible with scheduling and willing to take us on last minute. They provided transportation to the farm from their house and made it a great transition over. When there, we were given easy to understand tasks and information about the surrounding town. The locals, the family, and the beautiful area helped to curate the best experience we could have hoped for. I look forward to coming back to volunteer for them again in the future. Highly recommend!!

My stay with the Ramirez family was really an amazing experience. They have a beautiful home with a warm and welcoming environment. I never felt like I was out of place and every family member tried their best to be helpful and considerate. The location is a great place to spend several weeks. The family care about explaining different aspects of Costa Rican culture which I really enjoyed. I would recommend this experience to Worldpackers who are willing to collaborate and contribute.

I had a great experience staying with the family. everyone made me feel extremely welcomed from the very first day! they were very accommodating and flexible. I've done many work trades and this family has been the best people I have stayed with so far. I never felt like I was out of place or had to be fearful of being in their space. the accommodation was very nice I got my own room and bathroom. They were often making me meals and I appreciate anytime I don't have to cook myself! overall this has been one of my best experiences so far I'm so sad I could only stay 2 weeks :(

Después de pasar 4 semanas compartiendo con la familia Ramírez, despedirse fue difícil. Desde el primer día que llegué a su hogar me hicieron sentir cómoda y a gusto, nunca sentí que estaba en la casa de extraños. Maternales está compuesto por un equipo de personas muy rico, profesionales y abiertos a cambios para prosperar como negocio, lo cual facilitó mucho mi labor y fue un honor ser parte de ello. Me siento muy agradecida porque nuestros caminos se hayan cruzado y me llena el corazón saber que gané una familia a 5000 km de mi casa.
